Synopsis:
In this film, we’ll look at the similarities between Zara and Anne, revealing what makes them the royal family’s most unique and popular mother, daughter duo. We’ll compare everything from their childhoods and hobbies to their husbands and handbags to uncover what makes this mother and daughter tick.
We’ll use archive and interviews with historians, royal correspondents and insiders, to reveal surprising similarities, from driving convictions and dashed Olympic dreams to a shared penchant for men in jodhpurs and a love of thifty fashion. Demonstrating that Zara and her mother Anne, have far more in common than they may care to admit. We’ll learn that Anne chose to do things very differently right from the beginning. Unlike her brothers Princes Charles, Andrew and Edward, she decided not to give her children, Zara and Peter, a royal title.
Our contributors will question why the most unbending royal was breaking with tradition in such a radical way, distancing her children from the crown. We’ll reveal that Anne had a plan up her sleeve, to give her daughter, and her son, the freedom to live a ‘normal life’ that she herself was denied. Comparing the lives of mother and daughter, our insiders will acknowledge that Zara symbolises the woman that both the Queen and Anne would have been without their titles. From their worldwide sex symbol statuses to their HGV licenses, we’ll show that despite her lack of ‘HRH’, Zara is in fact a chip off her mother’s royal duty bound block.
