I think Zarkt might be either a lion or a bear. That Chima presented bears as lazy and cute and lions as heroic doesn’t mean they actually are. Zarkt we know has “thin patience” and presents as big and irritable (despite all ninjago characters being the same height). Bears and Lions are powerful, big, easily irritated animals. He might be a mean bear.
