It is a good gun, my complaint is with quality control on the sights or lack there of. Alignment of the sights is horrible on the one I got, on top of that customer service just want to waste your time instead of sending a return shipping label to send it in to be fixed to the point you get frustrated & tell them to pound sand. Worst customer service I’ve ever had to deal with!

Ghost, we'd love to see close ups of the bolt carrier, bolt, and trunnion - regardless of if there's wear or not! Really interested to see how things are holding up on the inside of the rifle.

Well of course the sam7 ranks number 1 lol. It’s a milled Bulgarian receiver. You’re comparing a 2000 dollar ak to a 1000 stamped receiver ak. I have an m70, zpap92 tactical, and of course my sam7. I absolutely love my zastavas and are def some of the best stamped AKs, not just for price, but quality as well. But hey f I had to grab one and leave the rest behind, I’ll always grab my Sam first

I think anything built after 2020 is a gamble. My SAM5 is over gassed and had issues, my Wasr needed to go back to Century and replaced it due to the magwell issues. The only gun that never had issues or needed to go back was my M70, idk what to believe anymore lol. The only AK worth spending 2k would be a Polytech or Galil ace gen1 in .308.

I agree with the mid tier, they're like a upper middle class. not a expensive saiga or arsenal but not a PSAK or a VSAK, WASR 10 eeks them out because they are ak pattern and not yugo pattern. i give my zpap a 8/10, so far so good 3.2k rounds in

I wouldn't say WASR10s are trash. Back then when they were being sold for 250 to 350 yes they had their issues but the newer production WASR10 are way better. I mean finish and wood still sucks but it always shoot.

Wasr bro here, disregard opinions of wasr10s being shit. They hate on them like a fat girl because no dimples. Also the finish is shit, a good cerakote job will make it a favorite in one's arsenal. Just look over your rifles for defects, even the high end AKs have QC problems

My only AK at the moment is a Zastava M70Zpap (improved version) and I love it! It's the start of my AK collection for now. I might look toward getting a WBP Jack next. I have a Pioneer AK. My first ever AK; put over 4,000 rounds through it in a span of 3years. Added wood furniture to it, polished the trigger with a dremel and buffer. I love it and has been faithful but I'm going to sell it for a WBP Jack. I feel like the changes are reasonable and I have seen it go for under a grand. Zastava makes great stuff but my AK accessories don't transfer to Yugo patter AKM.

Honestly, I bet the M70 and the WBP jack are pretty similar quality wise. Those M70's are very nice guns. Probably the only AK on the market that is actually worth its price atm. I do have multiple Zastava's, and they all got a fair amount of time shooting. I love them. Their my favorite AK's I have owned so far, and I have owned a total of 6 AK variants now. the best thing in my mind about the Zastava AK's (The TRADITIONAL ones like the M70 and the M92) is just how damn tuff they are. These things are meant to be punished. They can take it. The best thing about these guns is they're not SO expensive its a collectors piece and its not CHEAP feeling like the WASR or the VSKA or the RAS47. Not only do they use all forged components but they also give you the RPK trunnions now too, furthering the amount of punishment these things should be able to take. The WBP is just better in terms of accessibility. Its gonna be easier and your gonna have more choices with stuff like handguards, scope mounts/dustcovers, and so on. Zastava guns are basically commercial, not milspec if that makes sense. Its not a REAL AK. But it IS a very well made AK variant that Honestly, Ide love to see these two face off in a to the death style torture test. Ide like to see which one comes out still standing.

I contacted AOA to see if we're getting in more variants. Hi there, We are always looking to expand our offerings and try to get whatever possible from WBP. We are doing what we can, but I can't confirm when or even if a milled rifle would be possible. Rifle imports have different restrictions on import compared to pistols, and milled receivers would present some major additional challenges when converting from a "sporter" import configuration. We'll keep trying to do what we can though to offer a wider selection. Regards, AOA

Correct , I remember when I picked up my wasr 10 around 15 years ago, it was 380 bucks... lol, the gas tube was canted and the op rod would always drag on the gas tube causing malfunctions

Thanks it did take some time coming to light but the problems are/were real. When these started approaching $1200+ for that kind of QC it had to be shown. As for a ferrule unfortunately no. Ronin's has lower HG ferrules but not sure where you can get the m76 ferrule.

I unfortunately bought as an m90 when they first came out to fill my void for a 556 Beryl, however I'm really not happy with it as the furniture blows, not that that can't be changed but just wish it came with something more desirable even just black stock furniture rather than that hogue crap, the magazine provided didn't work worth of shit, and I needed to seek out alternatives luckily had a whole bunch of wbp mags available and modified some galil mags to work. Now my adjustable gas setting will not stay in place and jumps whenever I'm on the higher gas setting.

Wasr is good to go. You can use any akm furniture you want. You're not stuck with yugo specific wood.

Stay away from PSA, grab a import. Wasr minimum. Zpap as long as you get it under 900 at this point. But check everything well. Wbp Makes some nice rifles for a bit more. Zastava has a warranty they are pretty decent with.

Very nice pistols. I'm a 12.5" guy myself hoping for more from WBP. A 5.45 variant and bring back the milled rifle.
