The reality is that 99% of the guys who buy AKs or ARs for that matter will never shoot them enough to prove whether they are “good” quality or “bad” quality. Putting 100 rounds through a rifle every other month won’t stress most rifles enough to find the weak points. I think this is why a lot of RAS47 owners always say “no problems from mine”. I’m glad Rob does what he does, he is giving us data points. And Rob would agree that a sample size of 1 doesn’t make a trend. But I bought my PSA GF3 because of Robs videos and have been very happy with it so far. Life is a gamble, anything can break, we get it.

At this point i think the love for WASRs comes from lack of options. 3yrs after this video it appears PSA is having issues. Several reports saying they aren't dimpling the receivers into the trunnions. BTW, I paid $450 for a brand new 2015 WASR 10 in 2015. it came with a cleaning rod, two magazines, sling and cleaning kit. Now WASR 10's are being sold for $900-$1K. After 8yrs no probkens thus far with it. I did change out the century crappy blonde wood furniture that came on it with a Romainian military surplus stock and dong set and replaced the cheap century black plastic pistol grip with a romainian bakelite pistol grip. I've got several higher end imported AKs that aren't being imported anymore. The WASR is the one I shoot regularly. The others are mostly safe queens that I shoot occasionally. Kinda hard to believe how much the WASR 10s are going for nowadays.

Gun control is about racism and slavery This Patriotic Veteran approves this mesg Gun deaths There are 30,000 gun related deaths per year by firearms, and this number is not disputed. The U.S. population is 324,059,091 as of June 22, 2016. Do the math: 0.00925% of the population dies from gun related actions each year. Statistically speaking, this is insignificant! What is never told, however, is a breakdown of those 30,000 deaths, to put them in perspective as compared to other causes of death: • 65% of those deaths are by suicide, which would never be prevented by gun laws. • 15% are by law enforcement in the line of duty and justified. • 17% are through criminal activity, gang and drug related or mentally ill persons - better known as gun violence. • 3% are accidental discharge deaths. So technically, "gun violence" is not 30,000 annually, but drops to 5,100. Still too many? Now lets look at how those deaths spanned across the nation. • 480 homicides (9.4%) were in Chicago • 344 homicides (6.7%) were in Baltimore • 333 homicides (6.5%) were in Detroit • 119 homicides (2.3%) were in Washington D.C. (a 54% increase over prior years) So basically, 25% of all gun crime happens in just 4 cities. All 4 of those cities have strict gun laws, so it is not the lack of law that is the root cause. This basically leaves 3,825 for the entire rest of the nation, or about 75 deaths per state. That is an average because some States have much higher rates than others. For example, California had 1,169 and Alabama had 1. Now, who has the strictest gun laws by far? California, of course, but understand, it is not guns causing this. It is a crime rate spawned by the number of criminal persons residing in those cities and states. So if all cities and states are not created equal, then there must be something other than the tool causing the gun deaths. Are 5,100 deaths per year horrific? How about in comparison to other deaths? All death is sad and especially so when it is in the commission of a crime but that is the nature of crime. Robbery, death, rape, assault are all done by criminals. It is ludicrous to think that criminals will obey laws. That is why they are called criminals. But what about other deaths each year? • 40,000+ die from a drug overdose-THERE IS NO EXCUSE FOR THAT! • 36,000 people die per year from the flu, far exceeding the criminal gun deaths. • 34,000 people die per year in traffic fatalities(exceeding gun deaths even if you include suicide). Now it gets good: • 200,000+ people die each year (and growing) from preventable medical errors. You are safer walking in the worst areas of Chicago than you are when you are in a hospital! • 710,000 people die per year from heart disease. It’s time to stop the double cheeseburgers! So what is the point? If the liberal loons and the anti-gun movement focused their attention on heart disease, even a 10% decrease in cardiac deaths would save twice the number of lives annually of all gun-related deaths (including suicide, law enforcement, etc.). A 10% reduction in medical errors would be 66% of the total number of gun deaths or 4 times the number of criminal homicides ................ Simple, easily preventable 10% reductions! So you have to ask yourself, in the grand scheme of things, why the focus on guns? It's pretty simple: Taking away guns gives control to governments. The founders of this nation knew that regardless of the form of government, those in power may become corrupt and seek to rule as the British did by trying to disarm the populace of the colonies. It is not difficult to understand that a disarmed populace is a controlled populace. Thus, the second amendment was proudly and boldly included in the U.S. Constitution. It must be preserved at all costs. So the next time someone tries to tell you that gun control is about saving lives, look at these facts and remember these words from Noah Webster: "Before a standing army can rule, the people must be disarmed." What ever happen to up hold the Oath of office to protect and up hold the CONSTITUTION of the USA....NOT MAKE YOUR OWN RULES/LAWS...

The rivet stuff didn’t come out until recently. There is some bolt wear, but I’m not sure if that actually affects the function of the gun. Either way, WASR wins.

I'm happy I got rid of my AK-P during the pandemic. It has important design flaws that PSA doesn't seem to want to change anytime soon. My local gun shop priced it at $900 for consignment (mind you, for a used gun with over 5000 rounds through it) and/or offered me $600 towards a trade of a beautiful S&W 586 revolver they had in the display. No regrets on that one at all, the revolver will hopefully last me a lifetime. I'd definitely like to get a 103 variant when things calm down with this whole crazy situation.

@@CheJoffre I like having one nice revolver. What caliber is that? Yep, think my Ak-P vid got me kicked out of the FB group. That top cover design is trash.... 🤷🏼♂️
@CheJoffre3 жыл бұрын
@@wellregulated8725 Yup, it's so weird how they say that no one has complained and that it is an isolated issue. They seem receptive to other recommendations, I wonder why with the AK-P they ignore them. It could be such a great and reliable firearm with some simple changes. Before I got completely over it, the topcover kept on coming loose, as well as the screws holding the arm brace mount. Red loctite wouldn't keep them in place. Good riddance. The 586 I got is a blued six inch barrel model in .357 Magnum/.38 Special. I had the option between that and the 686 which is a stainless version of the same handgun, but the blued version won that beauty contest easily. Ruger revolvers are built like tanks if you wanted to look into those as well.

That PSAK is so beautiful! I’ll give you one of my kidneys for it. Do you need a kidney? Of course you do, who doesn’t need a kidney. Just you let me know and I will fly down 2 Ol Me-he-co and have them extract one of these 20/20 rated kidneys I have. I don’t smoke (anymore), I don’t drink (anymore) , & I don’t do gangsters off of random strippers (anymore). You will never find another kidney like mine. Even if you don’t need it now, you will later. And they are so tough you can throw that baby on ice or In your freezer & take it out when you need it with minimal damage. Just nuke it for 5 mins (make sure on defrost) and you will be good to go. You could even sell it on the black market for 80k. So it’s an investment for-sure. I would do that and just buy the gun from you, but I’m already on a watch list over a previous misunderstandings. People can be pricks and so judgmental sometimes

PSA is hit or miss i have two the gf5 and gf3 the gf5 is excellent and functions right along Arsenal slr107 because it has fn barrel but the gf3 has an issue with firing pin retaining pin being beat to death and no way in hell to get it out so when or if that pin breaks then rifle is basically done, will have to get warranty work which is crazy because a ‘normal’ ak should just be able to pop out the pin and replace firing pin... its really frustrating they need to improve their QC.
@wellregulated87253 жыл бұрын
Wow! The GF5 is brand new! You like it? BTW, the GF3 has a PSA nitride barrel, not a chrome FN barrel.
@samhadi79723 жыл бұрын
@@wellregulated8725 yup the gf3 is nitrided and I put about 4k through it so far, its been good the gf5 is really good The FN Barrel is getting very good accuracy roughly 2 moa at 100 yards, its running all the ammo I put through it FMJ, HP, SP. the finish on it is really nice way nicer than Arsenal or Waser10 and the rivets are nicely done. But I honestly still think they are hit or miss I have read on forums that either psa ak you get even their 74 could break within the first few hundred rounds. From my research most issues have to do with either firing pin braking or firing pin retainer pin being too loose. I think they need to pay attention to how they put these rifles together and make sure to drill holes more carefully to spec. The components are excellent and all the parts that need to be forged are forged and they didn’t cut corners with these, but they need to also make sure to use higher quality firing pins and just put them together with more care because i did pay almost 1100 out the door for the gf5 and if i but one again its like a gamble it might be good might be not depending on who put it together... which means QC is very weak
@wellregulated87253 жыл бұрын
@@samhadi7972 The 74 is a new production rifle.... and like many new models will suffer growing pains when it’s introduced..... i’m glad there is a PSA. I got my 103 because I had a great faith in FN nailing the barrel. They have a bit of experience.
@samhadi79723 жыл бұрын
@@wellregulated8725 I really like them as well and I often criticize them because I like them so much and don’t want them to start producing shit, they are producing alot of rifles right now and they are asking for a premium it would be awesome if they maintain and improve their qc overtime, then I can get their 556 ak when it comes out just in case they ban Russian ammo.
