Looking back at these auditions is kinda eerie. Everything they said about Zayn was true: naturally good voice, something there (that x-factor, something that just cannot be explained in words), and that awkwardness on stage. Zayn was always the hardest one to grasp, and for me he was always a bit of a mystery. I only started liking his music about a year ago, I enjoyed "Nobody's Listening" so much & always felt a little disappointed that it didn't get the credit it definitely earned. I think that the industry did him dirty, and I sincerely hope that he is all OK.

I love Nobody's Listening!!! Wasn't a 1D fan but I really appreciate Zayn's voice and RnB flair. I think a shift will come and he'll have the potential to dominate the genre. When Love's Around and Vibe are my favourite songs on regular rotation🔥❤️.

Mind of mine is legit a great album. His only real downside is he doesn't promote his albums and isn't good at marketing / promoting himself. He has the best and most versatile voice by far, and makes good music. Case in point, on Icarus falls, some the best tracks like Dask to Dawn and Entertainer weren't even on the initial album, which meant no one wanted to buy it. He has great musicality but really bad advisors / support around him.

How he managed all the negative things in his life, for example racism, pressure, controlling behaviour from management or the drama with Gigi and her mother. I'm proud of him, because i'm sure he's a great father for Khai. He lives his life without putting pressure on himself that he HAS to make music or he HAS to bring out an album. He does what he wants, he does what's best for him.
