He seems to have good lane control with a well timed stick looks like he really struggles in zone and maybe some weight could help with that as well as more coaching obviously. But I think his defence off the rush is actually pretty good and well translate decently well as long as he can stay consistent with it

parekh has room to grow. not like he is going straight to nhl next season. he'll be back in ohl. And he did pretty well even with teams targeting him all playoffs as well on a loaded team.

Shades of Erik Karlsson, Parekh is gonna be special he has these little details to his game that you just can't put into words its like a competitive mental edge that just makes him look like he's a solid skill and hockey iq level above the others.

From your highlights he seems pretty good with his stick. Not physical but his hockey IQ allows him to read plays well. Not sure at all how he’ll pan out with the big boys but comments about him right now are very similar to comments about Erik Karlson on his draft year. Never know, maybe he’ll do much better than many people think.

I find that Parekh is actually quite good on transition defense and solidly average positionally, he just needs to get a lot stronger. He’s got a good frame, so if he can add NHL-level strength, I see no reason why he couldn’t become around average defensively in the NHL.

Yeah i don't know. Even in these clips, he looks extremely uninterested in defending & seems afraid of contact.. often waiting for others to pick up the defender. I don't know if you can fix that.

I agree, this an optimistic look at the times where he didn't look terrible but you could make a video that 5 times longer where he looked like he could be barely be bothered. I see Tony DeAngelo more than Erik Karlsson.

He looks like a Justin Schultz to me. I expect he'll get torched defensively quite a bit in the NHL but will compete. And you hope his offense makes up for the iffy D.

This video has me worried. This type of D can be played with babies but the big boys in the league they’re not bad players and they are strong. Parekh will do none of this at the next level. Let’s be honest. This guy needs to move to forward. Put him at Center. His vision, elite skill and his scoring prowess will have opponents backing off. He can’t be playing at D. There’s no way. He’s doing this against lil boys with horrible coverage and goalies who can barely make a save. Just move him to C and he could be the top scoring C of all time.

Well I agree u he would be better as forward if he can get even a little bit better defensively he will be fine
