When the speech started it crossed my mind that the sheikh had lost his touch, as the speech was neither gripping nor inspiring. When he revealed it was not him who wrote it, it made total sense. No machine can match a human no matter how sophisticated it gets. When he proceeded to speak what HE wrote, yep -- awesome as usual. 🤩😍🙌

Very Poignant and full of gems. Was surprised that Brzezinski was quoted, but boy was that a great passage to reference. I do wish that the part of the Qur'an that was referenced in the Chatgpt portion of the speech had been elucidated upon by Hamza Yusuf, would have been great to get his tafsir on it. I think this speech is worth watching more than once, since it is jam-packed, and even if you understand all of what was said, it is a lot to unpack, and easy to forget, especially if you have a TikTok (or related) addled melon . The pursuit of beneficial ilm with ijtihad, will temper us with a sense of Islamic Justice and Prophetic Mercy, giving us keys to success in the test of life and the revival of society.

I was blessed to have the opportunity to meet good humans of the Islam faith and I been learning on day to day and I appreciate your knowledge sir. I just wanted to point out that Red & Black dress, is not a good choice for Islam and I say from a very deep first hand experience that came from searching for Allah and the right path, but got to know that these specific red and black colors represent something opposite from Islam, and I say this with humility, humbleness and respect. Asalam! I don't know if my question is relevant or not or if it reaches Shaykh Hamza, but I'm desperately looking for an answer. A non-muslim asked me if there are people, thousands in number-take the example of people in Finland and Denmark-who are living the happiest and most fulfilling lives without reverting into Islam and adapting its way of living! And he asked me what role Islam has to play in modern times. He further said that why do we need a book to tell us things about living when we already know a lot? We know how to love and care about people, we know what's wrong and right, but above all, what Islam has to offer in this modern time that other religions or science have failed to offer! I couldn't respond, but I've promised him that I'll get back to him with a solid answer.

No need to panic. The question he's asking is logically wrong , just because islam is older than modernity, that doesn't make modernity true or islam false. Islam and many other religions believe in objective morals and they don't change over time , they may have a little change from society to society. What islam offers is the peace of the heart and a loving relationship with the creator which gives meaning to one's life. Being consious of your creator all the time gives you the feeling of always being a moral loving person who treats people justly. Connecting with your creator and being counsious of him all the time brings the best in people. Islam encourages one to forgive and be merciful to others and among many other things , Islam gives the creator the worship he deserves

Absolute happiness comes from having a meaningful life. In countries like Finland and Denmark people tend to believe that there is no meaning to life , and there is no afterlife. They try to maximize thier pleasures in this world to give thier lives some meaning, be it being member of a group , community, etc , they fall into hedonism and fornication , they fall into trap of loneliness and depression easily because they don't have a meaning for thier lives. These western countries have the highest rate of suicide, loneliness of young men , highest consumption of anti depresents and much more .
