Hearing you mentioning it... i will try an array mesh to mirror the object on the one side over with the deformers, I think this will work.

It does work, you can deform stuff AND have it in symmetry, but his only works if you activate the deformer FIRST and THEN set the Array Mesh.

hmm, maybe check Dynamic subdivision is turned off? (Tool > Geometry > Dynamic Subdiv)

The brushes I use for sculpting 95% of the time are move, clay buildup and dam standard and that's it!
