For all those alleged players that get around Chara, with Chara's tremendous reach AND being the strongest player in the league, he fends off FAR more players and routinely keeps the puck away from MANY more too. LOL newsflash: most teams win the SC due to great goaltending. Hasek ring a bell? Ken Dryden? Brodeur? Roy? etc. I've yet to see a SC winner that didn't have a top goalie in net. Even the star-studded Oilers had to rely on Grant Fuhr. As far as the Bruins, most ppl know they are one of the deepest, well-balanced teams in the NHL, and Tyler Seguin looks destined to become a star. And again, Chara is VERY good, so I would think twice about becoming a hockey analyst.

@8kcht3 That shot was also taken a lot closer to the net so the resistance that the puck has hit is not as much, if Chara was to shoot where they do in the KHL I am willing to bet Chara and Weber would be around 120 or more even.

It's fair to question the accuracy of measuring instruments at any time, but more so of times past when the equipment did not have the benefit of a few more decades of refinement. HOWEVER, there is a distinct lack of evidence that the two number cited for Hull, yours and mine, are any more likely "high" than "low". It's also fair to note that shots were not routinely measured for speed fifty years ago, as they are now.
