My newborn was transferred to another hospital NICU unit around midnight. Two nurses on duty came in my room and sat with me as I freaked out. I thought it was because they weren’t busy haha. The next day I realized no, the maternity floor was totally full. My baby turned the corner two weeks later, and we went back to thank those nurses after her 6 week checkup. That baby is 28 yo now. Thank you Doylestown Hospital maternity nurses 👸🏻

I'm not a nurse, just a CNA, but our charge nurse is great. She works much harder than she's given credit for and does much more than a lot of people realize. I was going to go to school for nursing, which seemed like the next logical step from CNA but I actually decided to go for health care admin because SOMEBODY who has actually worked on the floor of a health care facility should be trying to take care of the nurses and CNAs (And Doctors, because you all put in some brutal hours.) who take care of our patients.

A Doctor of many talents! Well done! I had a Nurse named Maria, she prayed for me as she rubbed my back as I dry-heaved. I apparently was suffering Pulmonary Embolism. I was in emergency Observation. What I was suffering from.....disappeared, and so did the Nurse, as I never saw her again, even when I went back to thank her. Never forget, that a Nurse may in fact be your Guardian Angel or the Blessed Mother Mary in disguise. Thank you to all the Nurses who step beyond duty to pray for and with Patients, it may be the healing touches they need.

Debbie Roberts many years ago, I spent just one night in a PICU room with my daughter who was mysteriously unconscious and mostly unresponsive. I’m told than a toddler, not yet two years of age, should not have a heart rate in the 70s. It was one of the nurses who told me the hospital crib was strong enough for me climb in with her. About 3 in the morning, just as mysteriously, she woke up. We took her back home on Mother’s Day 1997. We never did figure out why she was so seemingly close to death, or why she just as suddenly wasn’t. Doctors get so much of the praise, but nurses do so much of the work.
@YuckyMama5 жыл бұрын
Debbie Roberts My twins were born 13 weeks early and spent 10 weeks in the NICU. Twice a NURSE noticed a life-threatening problem (my son got septic through his PIC line) and saved my kids life. That was exactly 16 years ago and I still remember the names of the 14 nurses who helped us. I don’t remember the names of the two docs. PS. The first time I held my daughter, she was 5 days old and I was being discharged. I went into the NICU at 1AM in tears. The nurses (2 of them) transferred my child (CPAP& all lines) to my arms and let me hold her. It was Mother’s Day. Their compassion floors me. PPS. They also had to give my son a scalp line. They knew it’s upsetting to see so they saved the hair they shaved, taped it to a card labeled “First Haircut” to make me feel better.

Decided not to renew my nursing license after 40+yrs. Tired of being sh....t on. I wasn’t nursing anymore, instead I was expected to meet administrators goals for “star” ratings. Now I am a Registered Pharmacy Technician in retail. Loving the contact with our patients (customers). No stress, appreciation from them and Corporate. Recently performed CPR on a coworker til EMTs arrived. I was given an Appreciation Certificate from Corporate (I was surprised because nurses save lives everyday without even a Thank You from Administrators). What meant more was hugs from that coworker and her husband! Thank You ZDogg!
