As an ethnically mixed metal head, the songs speaks to me. Growing up I had an immediate attention to metal music and as I got older and learned more about my African American heritage, I fell in love with Negro Spiritual. @@stevehughes8027 Robert Johnson was a famous blues musician, who had been well known in his area for being somewhere between mediocre and just bad. Out of nowhere he shows back up and starts playing amazing music. His song "Crossroads Blues" details how he went to the crossroads and did the Hoodoo ritual to sell his soul to the devil in exchange for the ability to play music. A lot of folks, based on his complete 180 in talent, believe he was telling the truth in his song.

@@mariasmith2198 one of his contemporaries, Son House knew him most of his life, and says that Johnson was okay with the harmonica but not much of a guitar player, then all of a sudden come back on the seen after being absent for like a month, and is making this amazing music. This song is phenomenal. This song to me, as I say this in a nice way, comes off like an old slave song, one that they’d sing with words instead of instruments. This song is one of the most strongest songs I’ve ever heard as Z&A fully understands that words are as strong as actions, like blood used as ink to describe pain, as the devil is easily manipulative, as Mother Nature as it’s put is his playground.
