Great detailed review. I was thinking of moving to this from a Smart slider, but will try to make the most of it first before upgrading it.

Zeapon has since released a pan and tilt head, and I've been working on a review of that. Very cool stuff, but still some software issues.

Hello and thanks for the review. I would like to buy Zeapon to make night time timelapses skyrocketing. I'm undecided between Zeapon micro2plus and Zeapon micro E800. What do you suggest me? Thanks!
@MatthewGore2 жыл бұрын
Either one would probably work nicely, and I haven't used the E800, so I can't give you an informed recommendation. Mostly, it would come down to how much camera movement you'll want for the kinds of shots you're doing, and although the Micro 2 would probably be enough, the option of more is always better (unless you're going to be backpacking and want to keep the size and weight to a minimum). Good luck.

i just bought this today with the PONS PT. haven't used it yet but looking at your video, i may have just bought a great product. thanks for this

I also have the Pons PT and have been testing it for several months now, and will be reviewing it in the future. Currently I think they have some work to do on their software, but the hardware is awesome.

@@MatthewGore That's good to hear. I'm on the fence about whether or not to get the Pons PT. I keep reading reviews in the Android app store about bluetooth connection issues and that worries me.
@MatthewGore2 жыл бұрын
@@pepsico815 I have to say, I'm really disappointed with the implementation of the Pons PT. I never use it, because it's just not flexible enough to be useful with the current software. I'm hoping they make an update soon.

Doesn't come with 1) platform, 2) battery, 3) mount. That's like buying a car and it's delivered without 1) tires, 2) engine, 3) seats. Say no more. Good video. Love your production. Oh, and no annoying intro. Straight to the point. Very professional. If I was the manufacturer, I would give you a unit as well to get your feedback. Very useful for the manufacturer and a testament to your work. Do you have a video on how to correct sag in post? That would be very useful for me.

Hey Tex, thanks! I made this video in Davinci Resolve, and to correct the sag, I just keyframed the "Rotation Angle" adjustment... but I've never made any videos about Resolve :-)

Fantastic review, Matthew! Thank you! Seems like a great slider for the price, but the lack of pan and tilt is dissapointing. No guarantee they'll include those in the future. There is another budget slider from GVM which has a simple pan function, but it does the job. It's much larger, but it's also lower in price, so I might go with that one. By the way, I'd love to visit Oregon one day. It looks really beautiful.

I was watching this thinking that’s cool but I don’t need it… until I saw the sexy pan of the fountain pen ink bottles hah P.S.- I sky with my little eye a band T-shirt 😉

I think that I used this slider (along with the pan / tilt heads, that now do exist) for all of my Inkvent videos last November... I shot the "opening" bits all in one day, and then finished the rest of the videos as I had time. Good catch on the Trampled by Turtles shirt... I saw them play here several years ago. I like the band, but I love the name.
