The Zebralight reminds me of the Sunwayman d40a neutral just with less throw. Both beautiful tints! Almost Nichia 219 like. Excellent for home plus bushwalk colour rendition. I even use a diffusor for very natural photo flash replacement.

I bought the Zebra MkIII light based on your review. It is everything and more that I want in a light. Thankyou.

LOVE the videos! Great comparos in the woods! Perfect beamshots.

Nicely done and easy to follow. It was most interesting to see the differences between the cool and warm beams. To my eyes in the video the beam of the PD35 seemed tighter and brighter than the Zebralight however the warmer Zebralight beam seemed to show the vegetation more as it might look in the sunlight. The Fenix PD35 not so much.

virtuovice I just got a cool white TN12 2014, I love the tint of the light, but everybody is different! www.rosco.com/FTVP/strobist.cfm I use these for altering the Colour Temperature on my camera speedlights, I wish somebody would make small filter caps for the end of flashlights that would allow a piece of gel to be used for different CT needs!

Fenix for the city. Zebra for the forest.

I got the zebralight H600 w mk2. Excellent Light.. I was considering the floody version at first, but the standard has a very wide and good beam. Very suitable as a general edc Light.

Great Video! Both very impressive lights. pd35 seems to edge it out in beam, however zebra might edge it out in spill and definitely has it on compact size.

Zebra does not hurt the eyes like the PD35 does.

I mentioned in another of your vids but I will take less lumens for neutral/warm tint any day. I recommend to you the d40a neutral since its like your Z'light but has i believe further throw. I would love to see your review on it. Add a Nitecore 40mm diffusor from fastech and it becomes amazing too at close distances. Plus moonlight mode is perfect for indoor yet still has incredible throw for the lumen. Comparing it to my Fenix ld41 which I previously loved...and now like, the tint is just so much more appealing on the Sunwayman. d40a. Modes are well spaced too. Man I wish Fenix would start doing neutral around 4k tints as an option since I love their lights and own six or so. Cheers Virtuo.

Actually scratch that suggestion of the d40a! I realise you use 18650's where my whole battery system is based on AA and AAA.

hi doc. great videos as always! did u know there is the new 2014 pd35? its a little more powerful at 960 lumens instead of the 850 lumens! u should check it out very impressive, powerful!

I want it because I rely on Fenix. But I am more interested in Thrunite 2014 TN12 in neutral white over 1000 lumens. Its beam pattern seems like resembling PD35. Thanks.

I'll stick with my PD35 I like the the tail switch in case I have to illuminate something in a hurry and can't be dicking around in the dark feeling for a recessed switch.. Fits nicely in the corner of the front pants pocket.. You realize rather quickly that it accidentally got turned on because it gets frigging hot
