Dude. This video is everything. I'm a visual learner and this one video has helped me understand this concept better than years of statistics study and multiple textbooks. Thank you!

100% agree although slight correction is that the visual, kinesthetic, etc types of learners are a myth and has been debunked. The reason we can understand it well now because the teacher is a good teacher and know how to explain the concepts intuitively. Hehe sorry for being picky, just wanna correct the misconception

I watched the video and was shocked at how well this subject was explained. There are so many parts of math out there that can be explained so easily but frustratingly are not. Thank you so much for being a light at the end of the tunnel.

Your videos are a gift. I love how you connect with the intuitive approach. Memorising equations at uni without understanding the logic behind them is so dry and the info doesn’t go in easily. You are so kind and generous to explain everything. I love the visuals and your jokes and your calm voice and the speed of your speech. Omg so good.

I have about 9 of your videos in a queue to watch. Much appreciated for those who are new kids on the block of statistics. Before I delve in, I have to share my 'moments ' in statistics. My distribution ranges from confused, bamboozled, lost, slightly frustrated to very frustrated. There was an outlier of "rage' but he was dismissed from his duties and totally wiped from the data. He wasn't a team player. I had to regroup and form a calm plan along with a 'safe word'. Skewness has a new meaning for me and it settles somewhere on the negative. My scatter graph is now under control and I hope it goes to form a strong, positive relationship when studying more statistics. The causation of my mood is definitely the variable of my blood pressure 'v' sitting too long at a desk looking at a pc screen while my cat scratches at the door wanting to know who is holding his Mum to ransom while wanting to find out how this correlation relates to whether he will be feed... or ever see me again. Many thanks for all the help, I am nearly at the end of the race at Uni in NZ, at the tender age of 52.... with wanting to start studying psychology. This has been a rather wild , compact ride of 5 weeks of Stats and Probs at entry level. We are now having peace talks over my Casio fx - 82 AU calculator and settling into a more comfortable relationship. He presses my buttons - I press his. It's all above board. By the way my 'safe words' are Shift/CLR (9)/All (3)/(=)/AC. This will erase all previous memories if need be. Thanks for enlightening me and my animals who watch these informative videos😄

Actually, I'm a student of EEE. I had a statistics course in my almost running out semester. Everything I studied about statistics in this sem was from a book thinking that there are no such quality videos describing statistics so meaningfully like the other engineering topics on KZbin. I even never searched this subject on yt. Although I studied this topic approx. 3 months ago, today I've learned what moments actually say to us.

This is awesome. An actually understandable explanation. This has really helped me think through the physical meaning of moments. I'm wondering though, how you get decimal moments? In cloud physics a particle size distribution can be described with moments, and e.g. mass-weighted particle fall speed is proportional to M3.5 - but what does that actually represent physically?

An easy visual method to prove this statement is to observe y=x^2 graph. Starting anywhere on the graph, moving 2 points (1 left, 1 right) the same distance left and right (to keep the mean the same) on x-axis causes a larger increase in y and smaller decrease in y (works no matter you start at x>0 or x
