Not sure if you read comments on old videos. looking for advice please. I know nothing about maths or excel until a year or so ago (I am 70 now). I have been using Poisson to predict an event. Imagine a coin. Head, Tails and it can land on its edge. But each time the weight of the coin is heavier on the head side, or tail side or even the edge. Those variables are always known. What is the best type of probability distribution I should be using to predict head, tail or edge. I have watched your video series and now just think that Poisson is not the best fit. Any help would be appreciated. Thank you

Hey, how do the statisticians calculate the population mean when they collect samples and study them just because they can't deal with the whole population??

I'm working with a criterion reference evaluation. Most of our data for a sample or a population should be a negative skew distribution since we target a mastery result at more than 85% or so since it's criterion based evaluation. Am I correct?

I am a medical student who wanted to get the hang of this, for my research projects and I can safely say with a p value of 0.05 that I clearly understood these wild concepts. Thanks to my guy!^^

I got sick with COVID a bit over a year ago. It affected me neurologically in a pretty severe way where I was left unable to think, speak, read, or remember anything for at least 9 months. I am now much improved but still struggling to navigate this new world of diminished cognitive ability I find myself in. As I am finally, slowly re-entering my PhD program (in a social science) and having to re-learn all my statistics, I am constantly running into the limitations of these new cognitive disabilities. Nothing, and I truly mean nothing, has worked for me until I found these videos. I can't thank you enough for making them. It feels like I can finally hold on to these concepts for the first time in a long time. Thank you so much for making me feel like I can actually manage to re-learn statistics and finish my PhD. It is a gift.

Hi, I found this video quite accidentally. I learned 2-way ANOVA to analyze my research findings based on a theorized effect. I wanted to understand the meaning of choosing my significance level 0.2 instead of 0.05? Why? I got significance when I chose 0.2 and not when I selected 0.5. Do you think this means something? Appreciate your time and effort. P.S. This is my first KZbin comment : )
