Love from an Indian in Denmark! I am originally from Karnataka. This song is so beautiful and so is Marathi culture, music and dance. Some of our best friends here are from Maharashtra. I am on a listening spree of Ajay-Atul duo's works right from their very first independent symphonic Bhajan album. it's is called Vishwavinayaka' (in Sanskrit) done in 2001 with late SPB Sir and Shankar Mahadevan Ji. I highly recommend it to all Ajay-Atul fans. Their music always shows such genuine purity and honesty. I love the way they incorporate our beautiful indigenous instruments, folk, classical music and Western harmonies in their compositions with such spontaneity. Next time when I am in India, I want to do a detailed tour of Maharashtra :-)

Words like bara which means 12 , wajle in hindi is baj gaye and Ghari in hindi ghar(house), Roop in hindi also roop (face), Nazar in hindi is also same. There are many words. I'm non-marathi and hindi speaker ...then also, i understood some parts of this song.

My hometown is in uttar pradesh but i am living in Mumbai since my childhood. In my mandir there's even a picture of chhatrapati shivaji maharaj taking blessings from bhavani. I have never forgot my roots and culture even once but have always embraced Marathi culture whether it is celebrating Shivaji jayanti, gudi padva, having puran poli, Ganesh chaturthi etc etc. I never ever felt left out even once in Maharashtra. Still I'm not very fluent in speaking since it's not my mother tongue so I don't have a practice on regular basis but can understand and can make them understand my Marathi as well.....
