I don’t know why I’m liking these so much but I do. I just pulled Slaf and Kuzmenko ,Rookie Materials in one box. And an orange Highlighter in the last box. I love the Lunchbox/Welcome To inserts as well.

Just bought a box at $85 US and managed to pull YG of both Slaffy and Kuzmenko. Couldn't be more pleased. I previously opened 2 boxes of Series 1 and got a Beniers YG in both boxes. Didn't do as well the previous 2 yrs so I guess I was due.

Some good pulls there, especially the Kuzmenko YG. As far as cheap inserts go, I like the Aman Dazzlers card. He’s been a great 4th liner for the Canucks & this year’s dazzlers design looks great.

Wow! I cannot believe UD Hockey used Mascots over Young Prospect Players on the YG RC's and DID NOT tag them as SP or SSP's. Mindblowing decision(, or lack of) by Upper Deck in a Flagship product, (being 22-23 Series 2). I will not buy ANY retail of '22-23 UD Series 2 and maybe just 1 Hobby Box since retail is good for ONLY YG's. Ugh ThNks for the info @Zeeree

Yah it’s weird. I think quality control went down. Half my packs (top half of box) all had cards upside down and backwards after the insert. Not a lot tho. Thankfully got a slavkovsky and then a fleury clear cut

I have a question since I'm "new" the hockey cards world. What do you guys do with the base cards ? People only seem to want special cards so, do you just throw them away or keep them ? Do you sell them for basically nothing since they don't worth a lot ?

Throw them away mostly. Unlesss it’s Mcdavid or some other studs. I keep all my inserts in a box. My hits and rare cards go in penny sleeve/top loader and then into my clear plastic case for my private collection

It is an okay crop for now. Kuz is a little old, Johnston is still really young, but Wright might be the guy to lead the series. But the box prices are expensive for what it is. I still think that last year's series 2 is loaded and it is $75 USD due to the sophomore struggles of some of the top guys. This product is likely trend down in price.

This is the 1st series I did not order a case to open. The yg crop was thin, and the inserts hold little value unless you pull a low number parallel. Kraken fans will go nuts over the Bouy yg, and you gotta figure some hobby boxes will not yield what was paid, unless you pull a top 3-5 yg or canvas. Nice count card pull!! Great content as usual!

not a great YG roster- if Kuzmenko was about 5 years younger maybe...but he along with Slaf, Wright, and Johnston have the most upside. Sanderson and Clarke should both be very good dmen- but not the hobby upside that weve seen from guys like Makar, Hughes and Dahlin. Guenther, Holloway and Jiricek might be able to get into the top 5 of this class in another year or two.
