Dude you're awesome and helped me successfully replace my hpfp with this video alone! Car is running great. You do a great job of clearly articulating every step to the viewer, while also not rushing through things that may seem simple to the mechanically inclined.

Awesome video Tim, I'm a huge fan!! I really like the great advice you give on genuine 2nd hand vs genuine remanufactured vs non OEM fuel pump (parts principle in general for BMW) Epic advice thank you!!!!

I love all of your videos I find most of them very helpful as I have a 2012 E70 with the N55 motor .. I had a failing high-pressure fuel pump for the last month. I think it was going out and was putting my car in limp mode and causing it to misfire. I drove around for a few weeks like that with my scanner plugged in constantly having to erase codes to take it out of limp mode, I believe this cause my ValveTronic to deactivate due to “fault too frequent “ I am going to replace the pump and hope that the valve Tronic will relearn positions and activate back on its own. I would love for you to make a video on relearning adaptations, and Val Tronic/eccentric shaft positions.

Hi Zeiten, wow you have a real talent at making repairs accessible and comprehensive to DIY. I have a 2011 X3 F25 N55 and from other videos, it seems as the same process to your car in the video. I am not a mechanic so I'm wondering about cleaners and lubricants? I know you have to clean the Manifold before inserting the new gaskets and you were saying about lubricating some gaskets. Could you run through your recommendations in cleaning and lubricating? Keep it up
@Zeiten Жыл бұрын
Hi thank you for your feedback, cleaning- you can use regular throttle body cleaner and shop towels, as far as lubricants for components that interact with engine oil use a bit of engine oil, if it’s coolant use a bit of coolant and so on i bet you get the idea. Intake manifold gaskets generally don’t need lubricants

Probably a good time to upgrade the fuel pressure sensor while you’re right there. Also do a walnut blast to the intake valves

Thank you, as i said in the video I usually lean towards used genuine hpfp from ebay, stay away from amazon, ebay is much better for anything automotive related😉

Greetings very nice video thank you. My BMW F20 N13 116i logged DTC P0087 can it be HPFP issue. With drivetrain warning. FRP value is 6000 kPa at ideal and freeze frame for dtc 220 kPa only. Is FRC same as hpfp value you shown in video. Which is better Used BMW part or new part from good tier 1 like Bosch or hella?

Hi Tim. A huge thank you for such a high explanatory video. Thanks for sharing the knownledge. I am in Brazil and I am facing hard times trying to find this fuel pump over here. Would you mind telling me where I could buy these remanufactured pumps in US? Thanks again.
@Zeiten2 жыл бұрын
Thank you for your feedback, just look for oem used pumps on ebay from my experience used oem is better than remanufactured

Of course not, 3.3 hours is not bad at all at the shop

Hello Mr Zeiten, I have the following OBD DTCs: 0029F2 0029F5 002AEC 002C7F Are they enough to change the HPFP or is the NOX sensor that is leading to put the car in Check engine light and running ∆=1 in an emergency mode ? The car goes normal but when I floor it the MIL appears on cluster Congrats for your channel and thanks a lot in advance. The pump was changed in an official recall in 2011 E92 N53B30UL 218 hp 2008 250.000 kms. BimmerN53
@Zeiten2 жыл бұрын
I’d say start with hpfp either get the genuine pump or used guaranteed working condition any aftermarket pumps or remanufactured are tend to not work from the start, regarding other codes go one by one
