I got many requests to make a Majora's Mask walkthrough and here it is! I used some mods to improve the game to make the best possible walkthrough (HD textures, UI on the top screen etc). Hope you will enjoy it! The fact that the game will be released for Switch next week is a nice coincidence, haha.

I remember when this game came out... I was 11 years old. My brother was a huge fan of OoT. I never got into it at the time. For whatever reason, I decided to try playing MM, and completely was sucked into it. Loved everything about it. Ironically, my brother hated it. "You loose everything and have to start over every 3 days!" This wound up being one of the first games I ever completed 100% As far as this 3DS remake goes, they did an excellent job on it. The controls felt good, everything looked good, and it was almost exactly how it was on the N64, with a few changes. They say the best Zelda game is the one you play when your 10-12 years old, and that certainly is true for me.
@skullvitch22 жыл бұрын
Yeah, I can see why your bro would have reacted like that. It took me a long time to get into this game to appreciate it after being spoiled by Ocarina of Time. Between the two, I'd say that Ocarina is still the more epic adventure, but Majora's the more intimate one with how the world works and the doubling down on all the side stories to experience. I dunno, as far as the 3DS remake goes, I'd say it does do some quality of life updates and changes that are welcome. But I prefer the older polygonal art style as it gives the game that creepier, almost surreal atmosphere. I guess it's just part of that era's aesthetics, but the option to play with either the old or new graphics and models would have been nice. Kind of like a WarCraft 3 Reforged idea.

I really appreciate when people take time to make thorough walkthroughs like these. I loved playing Ocarina of Time and Majora’s Mask since I had the N64. When Majora’s Mask was released for 3D on the Nintendo DS, my brother bought it for me the same day it came out. I was so excited to play it since I could not when we got rid of the N64 I gave up to playing for a while, to be honest because it found it really confusing and frustrating especially with only the 3 day limit. I was running in circles then getting frustrated when time was wasted that I have to go back to the first day again then start over. I came across this walkthrough for Majora’s Mask and wanted to pick up the game again. Turns out I gave up in 2015 😂 This walkthrough helped me out a lot. Made things easier for me to understand where to go first, what masks is best to get first and pieces of the heart. I finally finished Majora’s Mask for the first time thanks to BeardBear

To the guy who did this video, absolutely great job. Well done putting together this video. However you missed one thing, the man in the swamp in charge of the swamp photograph competition is the father of Tingle the guy in the green who sells you maps. If you photograph Tingle and take it to his father he gets really upset that his son acts that way. I can’t remember if he gives you anything for the photograph though. I remember finishing this game and being very disappointed with the ending. Tatl pretty much tells link to go away after Link has just completed like about a million different things. What a nasty fairy Tatl is. But then again it seems like in all the Zelda games Link gets nothing in the end. In Ocarina of Time he gets nothing and in Links Awakening he wakes up and it’s all a dream.

I'm mesmerized with how great you are in this game. I used to play it as a child (needless to say that it was impossible) so it's great to see how you did it. You're now my childhood hero

Watching the first 10 minutes… I can’t help but laugh! I remember watching this and in my memories I thought it was more… sinister? When Link is thrown off his horse I remember it being much more… violent? Impactful? Darker? Anyways- that whole scene I thought it was much more darker (literally darker as well! It is brighter than I remember) and at 7:25 is hilarious to me because I KNOW that scene TERRIFIED ME as a kid! Skull kid with the mask I always imagined him as super evil. I always thought of this as a terrifying game I played when my grandpa let me play with him. When the clock struck it always scared me and I wouldn’t really fight anything. I’d give if back to my grandpa bc all I wanted to do was explore and collect stuff! Maybe a few missions here and there for my curiosity and wanting to help buuuut if it seemed too hard or scary he’d fight for me XD Recently I’ve found myself coming back to the Zelda games After a few long years of not even thinking about the games I’m finally playing Breath of the Wild again! So far I got killed by a door and accidentally… harmed Link with our own bombs… multiple times now oops! But I must say I’m way better now then 7ish years ago! I fight the enemies now instead of sitting by the fire until morning… blood moons don’t even scare me much 😎 I’ve grown a little cold hearted tho… Pickles the horse I admire your loyalty and bravery! I do not regret not claiming you as my own steed but I am thankful to use you as bait yet you still stayed with me. Sorry you died twice… and how I laughed as you fell down that cliff side… I tried to stop us!! And it was more a laugh of shock!! Anyways…. This game isn’t how I thought it would be and I’ll watch more later to see how different it is Ooooor actually play the game… Okay I’ll do that! After I finish botw of course! 1/4 of the way and I’m trying to get stronger so I can help Sidon and the Zora’s >:)

I think I just got really emotional hearing the sounds of the bomber kids walking around when there was only hours until the moon crashes. Poor kids out there with nobody to take them away to shelter.

Thanks for this (: I remember buying the guide magazine as a kid to 100% this game. This is still one of my favorite zelda games of all time. I love how link's story in this game gets tied into twilight princess too.
