* Is this playable?
Yes. It's a texture pack, which means it only changes the visuals of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D. It is not a mod, and it's not a standalone program or game. You need an emulator to play this (included), and you need to dump the game files yourself (not included). You find the download for the texture pack on my website: www.henrikomagnifico.com/text...
* Is this legal?
Yes, texture packs are legal and have been forever. A texture pack is a collection of custom made images that can be injected into a game on runtime, and they exist for many different games and genres of games. This includes Minecraft, Skyrim, The Witcher, and of course many classic Nintendo titles. Since no actual game files are included with the texture pack, it's not counted as piracy. And you need to own the original 3DS game and dump the it from your own 3DS console to use it, of obviously.
* Do I need an emulator to play this?
Yes. A custom fork of the Citra 3DS emulator is included with the texture pack when you download it.
* Can my PC handle this?
Any PC from 2014 onwards should be able to play this. You can lower the graphics as much as you want in Citra to improve performance, to a point. Recommended specs: GTX 1060 or higher, 8GB of RAM, Intel i3 9000-series or Ryzen 3000 or higher. A fast hard drive, like an M.2 SSD, is recommended.
* Is this free?
Yes, it's completely free. From now on, all my texture packs are free- including the 1080p and 4K versions.
* Will you retexture every single texture in the game?
That's the plan, but I can't give any estimate to when it will be complete. This project takes a lot of time, and I also work on several other texture packs like Majora's Mask 4K, Twilight Princess 4K, Skyward Sword 4K, Pikmin 1 & 2 4K, A Link Between Worlds 4K and more!

it’s so beautiful 😭 it’s crazy that i’m nostalgic for the 3D version of this game in the same way that many people are nostalgic for the N64 version… i remember buying OoT when i was about 12 years old, 7 or 8 years ago. it feels like so much longer, no game has left an impact on me like Ocarina of Time has 💙 (and as one final note, just when i was wishing they’d add the blood back to the Shadow Temple i saw that they did!!)

spectacular work! Textures are crisp and clean, yet they retain the identity of the original textures. So many HD texture packs I've seen for games will improve detail but lose some of the original feeling along the way, but just looking at this trailer I feel as if I'm looking at an idealized official HD remaster of the game. Great job!

THIS.IS.SO.GOOD! I got it running on my phone on 4x resolution with your 1080p version,and it's still really good. However,there are some places that it kinda looks a little bit blurry like the chests and stuff but overall a pretty solid texture pack! I wish I became a patron...but I live in the Philippines and we don't have that kind of currency In here:/

I saw this on somsone's longplay, and I had to come over here to comment... Your work is amazing! I'm generally a purist who likes playing the original game on a crt. However, I could see that Ocarina 3D did certain things nearer to the original artwork that you can find in the player's guide and manual. But the N64 version still had this "dramatic starkness" in places that lent seriousness to certain moments. And certain pre-rendered scenes like around the Temple of Time were amazing. So, it was N64 for me. But your texture pack... my word... it threads the needle between the two versions perfectly and captures the essence of Ocarina of Time better than either version. Even that Temple of Time moment that I mentioned -- you captured what we all like in that pre-rendered moment -- but with Ocarina 3D's advantage of depth and detail. Just everything here is perfect. You are an master craftsman and an artist, and I will be playing this sometime soon. Bravo!!!!

Man this one looks fire, too. The only thing I'd have to say about it is, I'm not sure about "NAVI" appearing at the bottom of the screen like that. Personally I didn't mind it being at the top right accompanied by the jingle. Doesn't take up as much of the screen that way.

The textures are great, the one criticism I will give is that the textures can cause quite a bit of hitching, stutter, micro freezes whatever term you would like to use when going in to new areas. I checked and this doesn't happen without the texture pack Also are you still working on perfecting the 60fps code for cutscenes etc ?

With the "Separate Windows/Separate Screens" option, a banner appears at the top of the screen that is related to the Reshade and it is never removed. Does anyone know how to avoid that reshade banner that is permanent? Thank you.
