Just finished watching this one, this was really refreshing to see. Not just because it's Zelda content, but because you seemed enthusiastic and happy to play it and talk. The "plot"/idea you did was really neat as well. The way you talked about old friends staying around or going away was something I can really relate to at the moment, as I'm about to finish another "chapter" in my life. I'm jumping in between wishing going back in time and waiting what will happen in the future. I wish it was easy to just focus and live "in the moment" as cliché as it sounds. It's a weird experience when people around you start changing, how they either slowly start to drift away or become closer to you. Always enjoy your perspective on stuff!
@KhaoticSanctum694 жыл бұрын
I used to play pretend in Ocarina. I would jump off of the bridge to Gerudo Valley and pretend to be a sky diver, I'd pretend the little area in the windmill in Kakariko Village was my "base", and I would ride around and shoot arrows at nothing pretending that I was having an epic battle. I completed the game 100% and I played for months after, still making up adventures for myself. Man, I miss those days...
@ZCLawless254 жыл бұрын
Bill, you hit the nail right on the head at 1:22:00 . I've never heard anyone else in life that thought that way, I thought I was the only one. The point you made is one reason I watch Ocarina of Time, Majora's Masks etc videos as much as I do. The nostalgia of that happy place. From your commentaries I'd assume your a cinema fan, and if you are, I'd like to point out a Movie, see american pie 2, hear me out, is about more than just sex, and losing your virginity and partying as a teen, like the first film is, it's really a good depiction of, things change, you and your friends aren't always gonna be as close as the so called "glory days" and basically that's just life. It's sad. But makes it one of my favorite movies. Bill, You're the man. Your speaking about life really is therapeutic.

I’ll just add one simple thread with lots of edits to answer some of the questions Bill asked and also add some other info so I don’t clog up the comment thread ...cuz I’m a newbie 😭 So, please be kind with my long post. 😭😭😭 1. Volvagia Battle: Bill asked about the Jump Slash w/hammer vs Master Sword- Both are equal in strength. You can do additional damage to Volvagia if you shoot him with arrows when he is flying. If you are really familiar with his patterns, you can use bombs to damage him in the lavapit, thus killing him in one cycle before he flies. I call that the super SPICY kill, and I only started doing that after I beat the game a few times to spice things up a bit. You can do it with bombchus too, but hot dang, it gets tricky and you better have that in a randomized run and with Nayru’s love or Double Protect for low health to withstand the potential damage recoil. Phantom Ganon Battle: Yeah, I agree with you on him being rougher than the final Ganon. I think part of the reason was because when we fight the Phantom, we barely have any health worth a poop, and when we fight the real deal, we have all of our heart containers (if we are doing a completionism run) double protect...so we are in GO MODE. 🤣 Water Temple: Now, I won’t lie, I am not a fan of the water temple. It has the BEST mini-boss battle in Dark Link, but I just hated Ruto as a sage. She was annoying as a child in Jabu Jabu, and then seeing her in the beginning of this made me go...BLAH. I did eventually find strats to shorten my time in here, like clipping into the bombable wall room, and lots of bomb hovers, but this was just a meh kind of dungeon for me. OMG Bill, the fact that you never played whack a mole with Dark Link made me laugh waaaayyyyyy tooo hard. You should also try roasting him over an open fire with Din’s Fire if you haven’t done that yet! 🤣🤣🤣😭😭😭 My nose is hurting from the soda bubbles...as for memories of our youth...I think some memories of our youth are near and dear because of the innocence of youth that allows our youthful eyes to see that event in. When we get older, we become “hardened” because we become wiser in a sense. We don’t have the blankets that youth provides us, which is why sometimes we wish we could go back to simpler times. When we didn’t have the same responsibilities that we have now. We were allowed to do certain things without fear of recourse and times were different. Now, we live in different times, and sadly...these times are much harder, and much more difficult to cope in. People aren’t as open to creating relationships as they might have been, and for dang sure you cannot speak in the same fashion you would’ve been able to decades ago. We live in trying times where diseases run rampant, emotions are running at a fever pitch and people are more apt to kill their fellow man before helping them. Now, we have men fighting against their fellow man and marches done in peace getting convoluted with riots and all that is being left in its wake is destruction. So much pain in the world, but there is hope because there are people amongst the chaos that genuinely do care.

Fun fact did you know that as an adult you can use the hammer to get the business scrubs all at once out of they're hiding spots in the grottos and other places? And it doesn't just work with one! If you have all three coming at you you can just use the hammer and the Shockwave from your Hammer will bring them out. I think that's what ended up getting the Boulder behind you in that one maze in Goron City. If it wasn't the Shockwave then it was definitely because you were so close to it. I hope that helps
