we don't know how much apples weigh in hyrule, only their relative mass, but we have no official mass of anything in game to peg to real world masses. that scale isn't the only one that has been made, i made one pretty soon after launch for exactly this purpose and i seen someone recently made a really compact one balancing 3 carts on a big wheel (though he has to attach things to weigh them where mine and this guy's have big platforms, though what mine has that this guy's lacks is mine doesn't tilt the weighing platform so things don't fall off) i do most measurements in apples, the lever guy used flame emitters, and i think this guy uses link as his unit of measure. i found, like all the others, link weighs 10 apples, a fan weighs 18 iirc, while a wing weighs a whopping 6 fans or over 100 apples, the floaty yellow ball weighs 4 wings or over 400 apples the fan however has a thrust to weight ratio of 2 i think (i have one fan on one side, and 3 on the other, the one fan is on and it balances...so i think that is 2:1) some day, nintendo is gonna slip up and give an official weight to link to TotK and we will have real world masses of everything in game. it's gonna be messed up though, cus you know they ain't gonna say how light link REALLY is so a LOT of things are gonna have weird masses, and gravity is gonna be ridiculous.

just wanted to say that the zonai capsules you get from the gotcha machines, once you save them to autobuild they have no collision for the player but collision for materials, not sure if this would help but whatever. keep up the good work!

You can also deploy zonai devices in ball form from your inventory by throwing them. There isn't an arrow to bind to, so it just puts the little gumball in your hand.

nope equipment doesn't contribute to weight, which can have an interesting effect, you can be holding a weapon, balanced on the other side, drop your weapon and now be unbalanced.

@@tuseroni6085 Link's body negates the effects of gravity, by up to 99.935%. This is why, instead of weighing about 80kg, as adults males should weigh, he weighs about 50g, or 10 apples. Since this number has increased since BotW, Link has either done enough training in the last 5 years to recover from his 100 year sleep, and regain his lost muscle mass, or his anti-gravity powers are weakening.

But if he loses 99.935% of his weight, he still has all his mass, and momentum is acceleration x mass or something like that, so it still works. If link has anti-grav power, he can lose all his weight, but keep his mass. If he has no mass, he doesn't even exist.

@@MorganSaph scales work by comparing relative mass, link isn't loosing mass he is just very light. he doesn't have any anti-gravity powers. nor any powers to change his mass, he just has about the same mass as 10 apples. if he DID, modifying gravity would have no effect on his mass, so his inertia would be a lot more than his weight would imply, we do not see this, his inertia is consistent with his measured mass

for me the usefullness of an undo ascend was in the great plateu. there is a cave system that if you use ascend anywhere else near the entrance.. you end up in the tar pit. is weird link can ascend through the tar pit and sit on the surface then descend while walking on it = sink to your doom. Also found you can ascend through the ocean (NE maze is accessable via a cave system that spans between it and the ne tip. there is a hinox there to fight. Also shadow ganon.) and just stay on the ocean surface for a bit... it's wild.
