*Link’s Journal: Day 1* My grandma tells me the same story every year on my birthday: The Legend of the Hero of Time. It’s gotten to the point where even hearing that name, “Hero of Time,” makes me wanna leave any given room the instant someone says it. But there are times where I ask myself, what if..? What if the “Man of Great Evil” didn’t come back the exact moment he did? What if the Hero of Time didn’t abandon everyone when they actually needed him? What if the Old Gods decided to actually fight the problem themselves instead of flooding the Kingdom? In the end, I always brush those thoughts aside. Nothing good has come of that story anyway. What good is it to tell young kids that there _used_ to be a beautiful kingdom spanning the entire world, when said world is now nothing but saltwater and shattered dreams? It’s like all of Outset Island is just a cult who worships a hero they made up to keep everyone in line. Life isn’t exactly idyllic around here for my family, despite what Grandma wants Aryll and I to think. Her own son, my father, died trying to live up to the heroic standard set by everyone around here, having set off on a glorified dinghy in an attempt to “save the world from evil,” leaving behind a 2-year-old girl who doesn’t even remember him now, and a 6-year-old boy who learned a very important lesson that day: There’s no place for heroes in this world. The only ones who matter are those closest to you. And to me, that’s Aryll first and Grandma a close second. It’s been ten years since then, and I feel like I’m more of a father to Aryll than our actual one (I’m probably the only real parental figure in her life, since mom died not long after she was born), and grandma still clings to some false hope that a legendary hero in a stupid green outfit will descend from the heavens riding a giant flying horse and deliver us from evil. Worse than that, it seems like Aryll’s convinced herself that _she’s_ the hero of legend, even going so far as to say she’d join a pirate crew if she needs to! It took every fiber of my being not to burn that red dress I saw her making the other day. There’s not a chance in hell that I’m gonna let her go down the same path that led our father to a watery grave. The rest of the world can burn for all I care, but if anything happens to Aryll, I don’t know what I’d do with myself… Here she comes. Time to put on the “lazy older brother” routine.

@@AlexxxMYLSince2013 I figured the age Outset Island used for their tradition was the age of the Hero of Time in the future, when the battle with Ganon actually happened, with said age being 16. Plus, the other option would be for their rite of passage for boys going into adulthood to happen when they're 9 years old. Which is more likely to you?

This was such a fun experience 😁. I love how enjoyable this first chapter of the "Second Quest" is to watch, XD. The work you all put into making this video shows how you guys also had a fun time making it. That's always great to notice in many of your projects ☺. The way how this video was edited was splendid as ever. And compared to your first dubwork on this game, I appreciate how you guys took the time to show a bit more experience within the game instead of just cutting to the important segments of the story . For example, I love how we got to spend time with Tetra's crew on the ship, even if it was just for a few minutes 😅. I also like the covers/ re-orchestrations of most of the game's score. While not being that different, I could still tell that there's a bit of originality there that made the video more cinematic 😌. Compliments to all involved composers 👏. Now, time for the voices, lol. In all honesty, I very much prefer the voices here compared to the ones in the first project. Not to say that the voice actors the first one didn't do the game justice, but I won't deny how impressively emotive the voice actors were here in the first installment. However, on a modest note, there are a few original voices that I'm still inclined to in the first one. I will always love how Tyler Fultz voiced Niko in the first Wind Waker dub, mostly due to how hilarious he was playing him, along with that pirate accent of course 😂. Despite that though, I gotta give Adam New props on his take on the role 🙂. His work on Nico really gave me the impression that he's as much of a rookie as Link became in Tetra's crew, but obviously with a bit of experience to his credibility. I also felt that both voices for Orca and Quill in both projects did a great job emulating their respective demeanors. Erik Olund and Cyrus Rodas emulated Orca's rugged but serious sensei attitude very well, and Brandon Acosta and KinglyRed both got Quill's calm and analytical deposition down pat, XD. Anyways, onto the other voices. I love Caroline Cabal Coniglio's voicework as this version of Link, she really made him sound very adorably hilarious 😆. I also really liked some of her ad-libbing in the video. When Link said "''Hoy!" before Aryll did made the entire transactional scene seem like a sort of call and response moment, which is just cute to me 😊. And then there's when he yelled out his sister's name when she was abducted by the Helmaroc King. Caroline really blew me away with that scream, masterful work there 👍. Speaking of which, Aryll obviously sounded really adorable in this project as well as her own ad-libbs. So props to Karli Brown, XD. Elsie Lovelock as Link and Aryll's Grandma was just pure gold 🤩. She literally sounded so convincing as an elderly woman that I forgot that it was her, lol. Her sorrowful scene was so tenderly emotional that I was at a loss for words. A good singer and a good voice actress, is there nothing Elsie can't do with her voice 😆? Corinne Sudberg is probably my new favorite voice for Tetra 😁. She makes her sound both tough and level-headed with a bit of sass thrown in at the same time. Very appropriate for the character, XD. The manner in which she spoke also made her come off as sounding somewhat mature too, which is fitting given Tetra's experience despite her young age 😆. The actors who dubbed Tetra's crew also did a good job giving them each a distinctive sound and personality. Mako and Zuko especially sound the way how I expected them to. My favorite would have to be Ryan Hoyle as Nudge. I loved the way how he spoke, just fabulous 👌. So far, a very great first impression of this re-dub. I basically love all the new and old voices that are taking part of this project, and the editing and music were on equal par with it too. Wonderful job you guys, keep up the good work. Can't wait to see more of this new but familiar adventure 😁.

As someone that never saw the original dub, I am completely blown away. Everyone on this project is extremely talented, and the VAs AND editing have all been sublime. Everyone so far has been amazing and I honestly can't pick a favorite. This has the quality of an official product and I couldn't be any more grateful. Is there a Zelda Universe Patreon / Ko-Fi I can donate to? I wish I had the money to just donate to everyone involved individually, and I can't bring myself to pick between anyone.

The Forsaken Fortness isn't really that annoying to me. in fact most of what you need to do is on the second floor so letting yourself get caught is actually a quick way to moving up to the second floor. Without using glitches I only had to use a barrel in two spots throughout the whole thing to reach the top. In fact, I practically never explore the lower rooms except for that one piece of heart

Proper name of that outfit is Outset Island outfit

its because it’s the second quest and in the second quest the game doesnt give you the option to haave a green tunic since the last game after you defeat ganondorf takes you to the second quest and for some reason it’s just different
