And as all the backsliding on buying Russian energy shows, they were right to. France, Spain and Belgium could give two 💩s about Ukraine as is clear from their pathetic support and huge recent Russia energy purchases.

The story of Maidan reminds me of the Romanian Revolution in 1989 and 1990 and the student protests against the "neo" communists in 1990 (the Golaniad and the Mineriad).

They could look after that themselves...if they weren’t in such deep denial. It would only take a significant percentage of people, 3% or so, who are fed up with the hype and hot-lies, the propaganda and preachiness glorifying what should never be glorified and change would start. They must stand firm. It will be ugly but necessary.

My thanks to Aliona Hlivco for reminding us of one of the greatest Americans to have served and sacrificed for the United States over the past sixty years. John McCain's courage and honesty are extremely rare, not only in the entire US political landscape, but certainly are infinitesimally rare things to find in the Republican Party of today, which has devolved into a rabid pack of self-serving scoundrels. One can only hope that Senator McCain's understanding of the importance of Ukraine's freedom fight will find greater traction with the leadership of the United States. Slava Ukraini!

All the news is the Ukraine is losing the conflict. American support is swinging behind issues in the Middle East as the Ukranian counterattack stalls. Basically, the Ukranian conflict has fallen from the front page as interest in the conflict wanes in Western public eyes. The Palestinian conflict now gets all the media attention and the conflict in Northern Ireland gains front page news. Westerners have lost interest in the Ukraine as it now seems Russia will succeed and the US has more urgent demands on its MILITARY Budget.

Why? Like Hitler, Putin has repudiated previous commitments to international rules. Any agreement rewards war-mongering and gives him time to rebuild his army to try again. Ukraine needs to kick Russia out now or it will never ha e piece and the international community needs to provide the means to do this.
