Zemismart M1 Hub is both a Zigbee hub, capable of controlling any Tuya based zigbee devcie, and there thousands and thousands of these devices in the market and also, the Zemismart M1 Hub is a Mtter hub, capable of controlling both Matter over Wi-Fi devices and Matter over Thread devices. Yes, Zemismart M1 Hub is also a Thread border gateway.
The Zemismart M1 Hub can be setup and ready to go in a matter of minutes and in this video i am showing the exact process step by step. from the moment you connect the Zemismart M1 Hub to network and power, it will take literally 2-3 taps on your phone to set it up.
Don't get me wrong, i'm not a huge fan of being tied to cloud services such as Tuya. but, part of Zemismart's ability to keep the M1 Hub price down is by using the Tuya platform and not having to write all the code from scratch.
In summary, yes, the Zemismart M1 Hub isn't perfect but is advantages wildly outweigh its disadvantages and i think this device is actually a solid option even for Home Assistant users.

Congrats for the video!, I am curious about if you have any blind / tubular motor with this hub.. I just got this hub and I added the zigbee motor without problem but when I share though matter to homekit or home assistant the "closed" means open, and open close.. any idea about this? thank you!!
