I love to see some ECO/constraints based games making their way into the Globetrotters world. Great information!

You guys gotta realize that constraint style of training has always been a part of martial arts training lol they literally talk about it in ancient pankration books.

Basically every video I have watched of Dennis is extremely helpful. I haven’t watched this one yet but I didn’t want to forget to comment this.

Love the point about effectiveness vs availability @3:00 . Always thought about this, but never had the words to explain it so clearly.

I've been wanting to see someone post a constraints based approach to leg lock positions for a while now. This was exactly what I wanted. Thank you!!!!

Rob Cole did one for Globetrotter awhile back.

Great class and awesome to see eco dynamics / task based training being used! However, I thought that spinning / turning out of / while in a standard ashi wasn’t recommended because of the risk of knee injury…?
@MiniNinjasJiuJitsu7 ай бұрын
I think the danger is with spinning in, not spinning out.

8:38 um. The shotgun grip has the wrist under. It is supposed to look like someone carrying a break action shotgun in a safe manner. I get how the second looks like someone holding a pump actions or really any long gun ready to shoot but that ain't it.

I'm not referring to the Shotgun Ankle Lock / Aoki grip Mateusz popularized again. Well before that gripping the calf like that was referred to as a shotgun grip. Hope that clears things up. 👍

@COREFightingSystem I'm just pointing out the etymology of the shotgun grip, like the shotgun grip armbar. It confuses people that have never actually held a firearm. You're welcome to call anything you like by whatever name you like. BJJ could benefit from more confusing and inconsistent language.
