True but on the other hand he makes so many crucial mistakes. He goes in for a challenge too early and tries to defend while being boostless. I love him and all but he can get ahead of himself sometimes

@@valsim667 Alot of those aren't just straightforward mistakes but rather sacrifices to keep unpredictability. Not understanding what ur opponent is doing and it not appearing logical at all to u can be really difficult and even tilting to play against. His consistently is very off yes but it's not as bad as it may seem at first

@@dodothedog8551 can't agree more. as long as there is room to stay with the ball, hit the ball or even fake that Joreuz has any form of boost it really doesn't matter. remember a saying that goes; "Fake it till you make it" feel like Joreuz kind of plays with that mentality.

The thing that is most impressive to me about zen is how he recovers in awkward situations. The more lateral spins, the inversions, the perfectly timed altitude changes amidst air dribbles, the chain dashes you name it. He uses it all to change his positioning ever so slightly to stay engaged in the play where most players would concede. Seriously impressive stuff and I hope he sticks around for a while after making a name like this.

Honestly it was the best series with zen so far. He didn't just outclassed his opponent in every aspect of a game but had to work hard for most of his goals. Joreuz did an amazing job but in the end Zen is just on another level.

No idea why or how you think zen "outclassed him I'm every aspect". Bit of a silly take. It went to game 5. They're quite clearly in the same league. Or "level" as you put it. Neither one "outclassed" the other. It was an even series with zen taking the best of 5. That's it.

@@Cjs3315 I mean hats off to Joreuz but you can clearly see in the later half of the series Zen was too much for him to handle. Almost looked like Zen was nervous or something in the first two games. Had Joreuz on the back foot almost the entire series. Not to be "goalist" as Johnny would say in the Toxiic series, but a bulk of Joreuz's goals just came from patience and waiting for Zen to make mistakes.

@@Cjs3315 It's not written in perfect English but I he meant to say that Zen didn't outclass Joreuz in every aspect like other showmatches Zen has played. Man, zen is kinda redefining the highest level 1s and is pushing the mechanics to the next level. His movement feels different, it's like he has access to more controls than the rest of us. Honestly his car control allows him to make suboptimal decisions sometimes yet go unpunished due to just how quickly he can get back and defend, it's awesome to see someone just try any shot they want without worrying about the counterattack too much. Hopefully this man keeps improving and goes on to have an amazing carreer because it would be a crime for someone this talented not to do very well.

I ignored this series at first until some other YT'ers picked up the topic. I chose this one as my first Zen video. I didn't know the final result. I was pretty sure though that he has to win in order to justify the hype. At the end of game 3 I thought: how is he going to turn that around? At the end I didn't even know what I just witnessed. The mechanical display is so close to perfect. While others make their double flip resets look a bit jank or immediately shoot after the first one, this guy just executes so close to perfection what others can only or cannot even think of. Mad respect! If he keeps improving from this point on then the rest will have a hard time catching up.

I'm infinitely more curious in Zen's 3v3 RLCS performance than I am in his 1s mechanics. As we've seen time and time again, high ranked 1s does not ensure RLCS level 3s performance. It can quite often be the exact opposite (1s performance leads to disastrous 3s showings, as the 1s player fails to adapt to 3s, and tries way too hard). RLCS has fully evolved into a team sport. Individual talent alone is no longer enough to carry a team to a win in RLCS. It requires a cracked team with a solid 3s team strategy to win. I look forward to his highlight reels, but I'm very skeptical about how he'll perform as a team, against a strong KC, OXG, and Moist.

lmfao like psyonix could ever enforce that. There's already people naming themselves slurs by using different letters in place of others. This would NEVER work in a game like RL. Community's just far too toxic. I know for a fact I alone would try to abuse the system and swear in my custom chat. I swear in RL chat all the time anyway

Chat is just full of Zen fanboys. I get that you like him, that's fine. But when you call every Joreuz goal luck, or say Zen isn't trying, it's pretty sad. Reminds me of Scrub.
