When I look up content from independent content creators, I don't want to hear about all the great features. I am still using ZenFone 2 Laser. I have dropped it several times, even on concrete. It's still working and screen hasn't shattered even without case or screen protectors (The gorilla glass does indeed work). Thanks to custom Roms. I can use Android Pie on this. And day to day tasks are smooth. Only thing that failed is the battery(I had to replace it).

I've had mine for about a week and love it! The display is smooth and crisp. The phone has plenty of power. The battery life is surreal. And the flip camera is actually very practical. I love taking panoramic shots now because the camera rotates out and does all the work for you.

i loved my Zenfone 2 also,ui to me on the Zen2 was much better after deleting bloat,had it for almost 4 years,just ordered this Zenfone 6 today,would be still using it but had a bad drop and have had to use a borrowed Iphone last monthish till re-stock was back in on the official site,+ i doubt ill toss out my wired headphones ranging $35-800 for wireless plugs cause my phone cant connect via BT(current thinking on the Zenfone 7)plus i have an early 2k car so no bt ,aux in is via 3.5mm but that expandable 2 tb of mem ummm

Man Ive been using an iPhone 5 SE for years now (from when Apple wasn't evil) and I've been hoping for a notchless, headphone jacked good battery life large Android phone to turn to in the future when this one stops working for me. I didn't care what it would take to get a notchless phone even if it meant no selfie camera, but I wasn't expecting a motorised flip camera to work so smoothly! I didn't think there would be anything like this on the market, but now I know there is and its not $1,000, in fact its half of that! Great review, thanks for putting in the time to really understand the nuances of such a great phone.

is the camera available to 3rd party apps? Like barcode scanners, etc. Specifically, is it possible to utilize the camera with barcode scanning software while the camera is positioned at 90 degree? (looking straight forward when held flat). This would allow the device to work more like a commercial scanner "point & scan".

Thanks for the update. still not in launch in the Philippines, maybe because of its hard replacement for hardware if ever it gets broken?. But still got my eyes on it. Can you still not use 2 cameras in video mode? It is a complete phone! it got all I like in a phone except for the, the headphone jack, front firing speakers, almost full display, 2 dual sims. I love it. I just still am skeptic with the flip up camera. If they could have stayed a dual or triple camera case together but stayed at the back, then lowerd the screen a little, to put the lower bezzel on top and put a camera setup on the sides like a pixel 4. Then there would'nt be any motorized cam. All in all. That would be the best! ^_^ Again, keep up those videos! ^_^

Thanks for reminding me about this phone. Keep in mind, it doesn't have any water resistance. If the Zenfone 7 adds an IP rating, and a 90Hz display. I won't even need to consider at Oneplus or Pixel anymore.

Mine is doing fine, the only weird bug I'm getting is when I go to shoot a photo in the 48mp normal camera mode it sometimes goes through the motions but doesn't save / take a photo. To be sure I have to set the self timer and then it does take the shot. Not good. If I could fix that then I don't think I have any issues at all :)

Does the Zenfone 6 have a "lift to check" feature for the screen to see the time without touching any buttons? Really disappointed in the lack of OLED here because that ability to check the time is super helpful for me to not get sucked into my phone, wasting a bunch of time just because i wanted to see the clock. Would much appreciate a response. This is the only thing holding me back from a purchase.

I've been a satisfied owner of Asus Zenfone Maxpro1 that's why I'm interested with this model. I found some brand to be overpriced for a CP. In fact many CP owners are paying extra specs which they don't need or they are not using. This brand and model is very practical.

I really like Asus they provide essentials in reasonable price. My zenfone 3 5.2 is still working so well, i don't feel the need to upgrade. The fingerprint sensor is still snappy and i did not experience any lags. The battery still gets me through a day with minimal use. When I upgrade my money is still going to Asus.

Demitry I have a really important question I'm from India and well from some online retailers I've seen 1 and 2 star review of the Zenfone 6 which is called the 6z in India for some legal reasons and the probable with the Zenfone 6 is that all these people have problems with the software where the phone turns off and on automatically like 10 times in a day and after every software update it either requires a full restore or it wipeouts the Sim card. I love Asus and I've use the Zenfone max but these issue I'm slightly scared to buy the phone. Could you ask Asus about this and get back to me or something. Thank you in advance 😊❤️😊.

He wouldn't be able to do that for you. I own a Zenfone 6 and the only wrench in the works I had to deal with the US version is that 4G isn't working on my phone(that could be due to my phone service carrier). I have had like over 5 system updates and only had to factory restore it once due to the issue you say you have read. It has been stable for me since then aside from 4G and it has been 2 months of constant use since then.

I got an old zenfone 4 with 5000ma battery and this phone changed my mobile life. The massive battery is game changer, I think having a phone that could last for a whole day is A LOT more important than camera quality, screen refresh rate or if its foldable or not. Once this phone retires, I would never buy another with less battery performance.
