Testing out the Zenitar 16mm fisheye with a Pentax mount. Chopped off the aperture lever and now I can use it on my 5D and the GH5. Song is Susumu Yokota - Blue Sky and Yellow Sunflower

Is that your own custom color pipeline for film emulation? Did you have a starting point that you built from or a FPE node that you built under? I really like the greens you have, and the levels of saturation look organic through the tonal ranges, nothing standing out. Thank you!

Hey! So if you haven't seen my film emulation tutorial go check that out. Things are pretty much the same except I'm using Dehancer for the grain and halation, as well as a new PowerGrade from the Lift, Gamma, Gain forums called Max Saturation created by Miguel Santana and Tetrahedral Interpolation DCTL that was made for Resolve recently. I guess a new tutorial may be in order.

Which adapter did you use and for which mount ? Because I know this Zenitar lens has with two mounts versions; M42 and Pentax mount. I got the Pentax mount so I bought a PK Pentax adapter and I can’t screw it on the mount.
@RAKKProductions2 жыл бұрын
I got the Pentax version and I had an old k-mount to EF adapter that I used. The k-mount adapters can be quite tricky to put on the lens sometimes.
@samymerad67382 жыл бұрын
@@RAKKProductions yeah that’s so weird because Il can’t definitely not screw the lens to the k mount adapter, like it’s not even fitting

Currently have this lens, and its amazing! How did you de-squeeze the footage? Thanks!

theres often various effects on video editing programs for it. e.g., optics compensation in after effects.

I've recently bought the same lens and I have one question. With the lens they gave me some filters that you can screw on the back and there is one transparent wich i think helps you with focusing at long distances. I tried to unscrew it and the beyond 5 meters you can't focus anything. So my question is, do you have this filters? and did you use the transparent one for this video?
@RAKKProductions2 жыл бұрын
Hey! Mine came with no filters at all. I just stopped down a lot.

No vintage look on that lens, its sharp. Seems the "vintage" look is something you have done in post.
@RAKKProductions2 жыл бұрын
I added grain and halation to the footage but I can assure you the lens has quite a few vintage qualities to it. Wide open at 2.8 it has some chromatic aberration that is noticeable in the highlights. I had to stop down a fair bit to film outside so that's why it's sharp and as with most lenses, they get sharper the more you stop down. The way the lens flares is quite unique too!
