Nicely done! I rebuilt a spare I had laying around. It ran but not great. I'm fairly certain the jets are not what they should be. Thank you for showing how to flow test them.

Removing a stuck venturi - you figured it out, but I have another solution: get a deep-well socket that fits snugly into the top of the carburetor and tap out the venturi. I've done this several times and it works great and is fast and easy.

Ich freue mich immer auf deine Videos. Immer etwas zu lernen und etwas zu lachen! Weiter so! Mir ist auch mal beim Versager überholen der Cap Jet abgebrochen. Mein Tipp: vorsichtig ein Torx oder Vielzahn reinschlagen und damit den Rest ausdrehen. Funktioniert immer besser als die Easy Outs.

Ich bin überzeugt, dass man den abgebrochenen Rest auch mit zwei Fingern hätte rausdrehen können, nachdem ich das Gehäuse einmal gegrillt habe. Das hat bei all den anderen festgebackenen Gewinden so gut funktioniert - ich war beeindruckt!

Also, there's a tool that most Model A suppliers sell, A-9543 Wrench so you can remove the Idle Jet And Cap Jet

Who doesn't love a good carb rebuild. I buy the Holley/Ford Model 94 carbs off Ebay just to rebuild them! Don't really need them - just like to rebuild 'em. Can test them on my '47 Ford V8.

If you ever have a leaking throttle rod because the bore is worn you can remove the rod drill or ream out the holes and make brass bushings which would be no problem for you this used to be a product you could buy anywhere and some times ago guys would just throw away the carbs because of this which is sad because the bushings were still being made maybe one or 2 companies do it now otherwise you'll find them as NOS but well worth knowing as that's a huge reason carbs are abandoned

Sehr gute Arbeit. Mich wundert es nur, das du manche Düsen ausreiben musstest. Normalerweise waschen die sich doch selber aus und werden somit größer. Haben die Vergaser keine Luftfilter oder ein Ansaugtrichter?

Es waren auch ein paar neu produzierte Düsen abei, da kommt das schonmal vor. Serienmäßig war kein Filter drauf, es gibt aber Winkelrohr und Filter für kleines Geld zum Nachrüsten. Hab ich fürs Video allerdings weg gelassen.

Acá en Argentina no traía filtro de aire,pasa la columna de dirección pegada al carburador,algunos adaptaban algo y ponían un filtro adelante,los nuestros son con dirección a la derecha y acelerador en el medio, y pedal de freno a la derecha,hasta el año 1945 se manejaba por la izquierda

I rebuilt my Zenith and put it in the parts cabinet. Why? I started running a Marvel and it performs so much better, no float level sensitivity issues the Zenith has and on...

Marvels are for amateurs :p just kidding, but seriously zeniths can run just as good, if not better, people just don't know how to rebuilt them properly, repro needles are super inaccurate and sometimes totally incorrect. And they are way more durable than the zamac.. On top of that, aluminum oxide is way worse for your engine wear than iron oxide. on top of all that, the zenith just looks better

Reproduction Zenith parts are junk. I learned that the hard way, had to put my original pieces back in. I only buy carburetor parts through David Renner now. Btw, Zenith cast iron pieces have their own issues, like a leak in the Cap jet threads from worn rough casting. That was fun to find. But,,, try a Marvel, it's very responsive if built and tuned correctly.

Yes I have. It's great that new parts are still being made, but since old carbs are still easy to find, I'd rather save the money and rebuild one myself

I would be very surprised if your drilled socket and extension tool isn't an analogue of a long forgotten Ford/Zenith tool for doing the same job. Also, there's a saying in English, "Easy-out's, Don't"
