We finally got to go hands-on with Zenless Zone Zero at gamescom 2023. In this demo, we got to check out some cool new characters, get a better understanding of the game story, and how it measures up to other Hoyoverse games such as Genshin Impact and Honkai Star Rail.

Its actually not Tokyo or any Japanese city, its Chinese city because all the signs, scripts are fully in Chinese characters.

The gacha aspects of the game will hold the combat back. Genshin Impact had the same issue. You can't have characters with a deep and complex moveset because this is a gacha game and the developers want you to constantly switch characters, which is how they keep players constantly pulling for more characters.

Meanwhile on they other game Honkai impact you have characters with different moves depending on they mode and one that has 3 different types of weapon that each has they own moveset and when she uses her ultimate she can use the case where she puts all the weapon as one weapon with it's own moveset And another character that can summon a Dragon that you can control, besides having it's own moveset It's really not a Gacha thing, it's a Genshin thing because Genshin has almost no focus on combat
