Ps5 user here. The ps5 version in this video comparison is not accurate. First of all, in the settings there is a filter that is automatically turned on that softens the colours (I’m not sure if the setting is available or automatically on for other platforms so someone else would have to confirm) but even with that setting on it doesn’t look as washed out as this. If you turn the filter from 10 to 0 it looks exactly like it does on pc with very high definition graphics.

I was actually expecting this game to be quite demanding as it wouldn't be tied to the hardware limitations of the base PS4 from 2013 and was using the PS5 as its main target and even had much more complex animations than Genshin Impact. But I was surprised that it is surprisingly light and optimized, I was able to run it on my PC at 60fps without any problems (except during some cutscenes) and even my old iPhone 8 Plus was able to run the game. Now I wonder why they didn't release it for the PS4. (and whether they will release it for the Nintendo Switch or whether it will become an urban legend like Genshin Impact on the Switch)

Because if they release a version for PS4, they will have to maintain it for 5+ years. The PS4 is more than 10 years old now, and Sony wants users to switch to the new generation. Currently, only 50% of active consoles are PS5, which is a poor result.

No it's because of HDR

@@Silver_Nyxx Nah it doesn't happen in my one and my colour filter is on 10x it's cuz of HDR video encoding. Trust me I know more about HDR than your average nerd. On the PS5 when you set the HDR it starts recording everything in 10 bit 420 in HEVC. Since HDR content has higher brightness levels encoded into the footage it can't display that in a SDR video like the one we are currently watching which is why every thing looks washed out. To fix this issue you must colour correct the footage in an NLE to convert it to SDR properly

Mine is redmi note 12 and got pre-installed. But then the graphic all black so i uninstalled it, with hope if i reinstall it will fixed. Turn out i cant cause it became not compatible with my phone. I resort to install via 3rd party but apparently nothing change, still black graphic....

@@kay266_x Yeah when hsr released, the low end devices' problem was their background being black and purple sometimes all green with a hint of black objects and mid end devices' problem was too laggy and a lot of glitch. But it got better after hoyo patched it( don't know remember when though). It was also the same situation when genshin was released.

No it's the HDR recording that caused this, it happens in Genshin too only can be seen properly on a HDR compatible monitor and he used that recording directly which is why it looks like that
