finally someone that acknowledge koleda strength, also for anyone that have her but not soldier 11, she does enough dmg to be a carry in a koleda ben lucy comp to clear current content. do note though that there is a lot of fire resistant enemy in shiyu defense atm, so any pyro team will struggle more to get a decent time clear compare to the other element available.

Agree with pretty much everything, only I'd put Soukaku at 0.5. Nicole is severely underrated right now and Soukaku is slightly overrated. More people will understand when they reach endgame, and also have enough resources to try different setups at an equal amount of investment.

I haven't gotten very far in Shiyu Defense, but on paper I do not think Soukaku should be above Nicole at all, and is much too high on that tier list. Soukaku takes so much more field time to provide her support, and as you said people are finding def shred to be better than atk buffs in higher difficulty content which is what Nicole is all about

@@saltyaxis I do think that's the main reason, and while there is some validity to it, I think the placement is still inflated, especially if people are replacing her with Nicole on the same team and seeing as much if not more success

​@@saltyaxis the problem is specialist units will always outperform generalists. Soukaku is the best unit in ellen (and probably future ice dps) teams. She is also still a more than viable choice for many other teams and is a 4* option to activate lyacons passive on any dps (only other option would be rina). Also def shred is very inflated in value right now cause we are underlvled. Once poeple hit max lvl and invest in their soukaku she will provide similiar or more dmg to nicole in many teams even with her higher field time. So now we compare a unit that is the clear best choice in one team (best team in the game) as well as a good generalist vs a unit that is maybe a tiny bit better generalist but has no team where she is clearly the best (even in Zhu yuan teams apparently rina performs basicly the same). It doesnt really make sense to put her over soukaku in that case.

I would lower Sokaku to 0.5 and raise Nicole to 0. Being tied down to a specific team is actually a negative. Defense shred with cc is just insane, especially on a free unit

Even ignoring field time, Sokakus buffs are capped while Nicole is entirely percentages. A level 60 Ellen has around 3300 attack, going to 4300 is a smidge over a 30% increase, as well as having ice damage bonus from passive and disc drives. Meanwhile Nicole gives def shred as well as a generic "enemy takes more damage" instead of something named with diminishing returns. Speedrunners and people pushing content dropped Soukaku (even with C6 and R5 engine) for Nicole somewhat early on. Especially once agents hit 50 and people had a much better idea of stat numbers and Soukakus hard capped buffs could be better calculated.

Ya I agree with your list. I was very lucky in getting grace and rina back to back so I went full into electric team before getting ellen and the ice team up. Even at C6 anton just doesnt cut it. Also yeah Nicole is amazing even for clearing shiyu 9

I think Nicole M0 is maybe a T0.5, but I don't think she hits T0 until you get her M1, the extra duration is very needed

Not with Zhu yuan. She can get all her shots out before the duration is over. Soukaku is T0 because of Ellen. Nicole can be T0 because of Zhu Yuan

I want to try maxing disorder damage (grace piper), but im debating what stats and 4 peice i should focus on. It feels like im stuck at 136k disorder damage, but ive seen over 200k damage (both non stun)

Could you possibly do a video on each class type? I had seen people saying theres no point in them existing since everyone stacks damage for stats (particularly defense type because the parry and pefect dodge system exists, theyre exact words) keep up the good work.

i agree about all u said, def unit not needed much right now.. the only i think need shield is corin and piper, whose always get hit when using ex skill (without stun in the team) maybe if u want build ben, u can using piper-lucy-ben

Nicole's def reduction is overrated. Yes it is strong but last for very short amount of time basically meaning that your dps will do only 50% of its burst buffed. (even if you quickswap enhanced wdsa ball) Its especially noticeable with ellen or soldier 11 which like to have longer field time. Without def reduction Nicole lags behind sokkaku in terms of damage buffs (and even with def reduction damage increase is lower than sokkaku with 3 ball flag buff) I tested it out vs lvl 70 training mode ofc

Does the def reduction not keep refreshing the duration with each hit of the field, therefore making it effectively last longer? Or does the first hit apply the effect and that's it

​@@alb7466 Yes, it does. It's fully possible to get the full def shred buff and doing so against higher enemies provides more value than Soukakus full 1k atk buff. Aside from also needing Nicole's W-engine, it's only a difference of skill. If you have it, you'll do more overall team dps with Nicole in slot. If you don't, like this guy, then stick with Soukaku.

This is why nicole is stronger than soukaku in Shiyu Defense. In shiyu you have limited time, 9 minutes. Soukaku uses too much time with her skill. Nicole just goes in and out in less than a second (with chain attack) and probably 3 seconds with her special hold. Time is very precious in Shiyu. In terms of raw power, then yes Soukaku buffs is stronger than Nicole's

Since we're at Rat Race phrase where most people are building characters they have to challenge Shiyu Defense as high as possible, I would say I agree with EOD. Everyone has Nicole and if she can help any DPS alleviate the damage reduction from fighting higher leveled enemies, then she deserve the Tier 0.
