I'm a retired optician and you got the blue light bloc king coating which is Blokz as in "blocks" meaning that it blocks the blue light rays. Zenni doesn't have a lab in Canada, all of the glasses are made in Hong Kong, China and sent to a distribution center in California. Their international which is why you didn't have to pay any duty charge. Even if your prescription was +4.00 / +5.00 a few years ago Zenni was making plus prescriptions up to +8.00 for many years. They make minus lenses, for nearsightedness, up to -20.00. So i'm not sure exactly what you did wrong back then, but you must have been trying to order a pair that your PD didn't work for and it was rejected for that reason maybe? The reason your first pair was more was because you ordered them with the optional blue light blocking coating. That was an extra charge of $16.95. You also got the high index lens option of 1.61 which was also an option of $19.95. You said that you ordered that pair with the wrong PD, how far off was it? If it was only a few millimeters off they should have still been okay. Getting the optional sunglass clips is okay, but since you both apparently need full time vision correction I really suggest a separate pair of prescription sunglasses. You didn't provide your names so I can only say the young lady wearing the dark hoodie got a really nice pair of prescription for not much more than what a Big Mac Combo meal would cost. getting 8 pairs fo glasses for under $300.00 is a bargain because you didn't get the cheapest glasses available in many cases and you had options on nearly all of them But in some case like bifocals added to the cost but necessary. If you had all only got glasses under $13.00 and only added the AR coating (anti-reflective) on each of them you could get 8 pairs for around $145.00. Nice going, you did really good compared to what 8 pairs of glasses would have cost you at a local optical store.

If the pink and the clear floral are the same frame style, you can swap the lenses with the right PD into the frames you like better! (If you're not comfortable doing it yourself, you can take it to your eye doctor or whatever local big store has a vision center and they should be able to do it for you.)

I was surprised with the covid 19 and every one buying online creating a slow down in the mail service I still received my wife glasses in under 2 weeks(11 days). They were very close to the prescription I ordered because she is happy with them. Good job Zenni for us, we bought some 3 years prior and they were spot on also. Now my turn to buy new ones!

That happened to me as well, i had heard of Zenni but when i went to buy , they didn't have my prescription available, i was disappointed because the glasses were so affordable, especially having a strong prescription. Finally ordered them this year as they finally had my perscription. Great buy for fellow canadians

Thanks for the review, I am looking at getting Zenni's and I have a high prescription. Their prices have gone up. I was looking at getting a pair of sunglasses and the thinner 1.67 polarized sunglass lenses are $147 Canadian...plus the frames and the added anti-scratch etc....they have thier Canadian site now. Not sure why the sunglass lenses are so much more. Thanks

My husband and I always order our progressive lenses and prescription sunglasses etc and never had problems with our prescription or glasses. They usually arrive in about 12 days (fall 2021) and looking at info from Zenni in Canada are manufactured in Calgary for shipping in Saskatchewan. Make sure you get a friend or partner to measure your PD as accurately as possible, no optometrist will give this out in the prescription. This measures the distance in the middle of your iris to the middle of your iris on other eye. Each millimeter makes a big difference. ***DO NOT order bulk eye glasses for everyone on one account as everyone's PD is different, but once measured that never changes.*** A side note: I had previously ordered a pair from my optometrist that cost me $900.00 versus $278.00 Canadian at Zenni for 2 pairs of progressive.

My Zenni progressive glasses are clear lens then change once I go out side. I would like a tent lens with progressive I was told you can't have a tent lens with progressive. In your video you had dark lens with progressive.

I'm a retired optician and I can answer all of your questions about your glasses that you were both wondering about. When you entered your prescriptions for your glasses Zenni will provide their "recommendation" for what they believe would be your best option as far as "lens thickness" As you did with ordering your glasses you ordered one pair in the "recommended" thickness and one pair with the 'free" lenses. You probably noticed that Zenni has two different thicknesses for their free lenses. One is 1.50 and one is 1.57. I always suggest that everyone get the 1.57 option for their glasses. It's the thinner option .Now you probably wonder why they even offer the 1.50 thickness. That's for someone with an extremely weak prescription and are planning on ordering either semi-rimless or rimless glasses. That's because without a frame and with such a weak prescription the thinner lenses would be much easier to break. I'm not sure who the young lady wearing the blue hoodie sweatshirt is but I can tell that she has a rather weak prescription in he glasses so she only needs the 1.57 thickness for her lenses. Even if she had ordered a semi-rimless or rimless pair she would still be just fine with the 1.57 lens thickness. having the optional sunglass clips is okay but as you both found out, in order to attach it you really have to take your glasses off to slip it on. So not so handy if you're driving on a highway on a partly cloudy day and then suddenly the sun pops out and you need sunglasses. Since I don't think either of you can see to drive without glasses, it wouldn't be a good idea for either of you take your glasses off long enough to slide the clip on. Now that you have found out how easy and cheap it is to order your glasses on-line you both should consider ordering a nice pair of prescription sunglasses. It's much easier to slip off your regular glasses and slip on your prescription sunglasses than fooling with the clips. Zenni has a very nice selection of glasses for just $6.95. It only costs $5.00 to have them tinted into sunglasses. So you both can have a nice looking pair of prescription sunglasses for just $12.00.

I would like to know your prescription....trying to decide im i can go with the free frames
@soundmanpt4 жыл бұрын
You mean free lenses. You can get your glasses with free lenses no matter how strong your prescription is as long as you are okay with having thick lenses. Another factor is the type of frame you get. For example if you get a bold style full plastic frame the the lenses won't show nearly as much as they would if you were to get a thin metal frame, a semi-rimless frame or a rimless frame. Generally speaking up to around -4.00 you should be fine with the free lens option of 1.57.

So did they take the glasses back? I just ordered and I'm really nervous because mine were $122US. I have a really high prescription. I measured 3 times and my husband measured and got the same number. Just wondering about their return policy.
@lovemakesfamilygrow29784 жыл бұрын
If you get the number wrong they won’t do it free but they did check mine and redone the lens. My husbands were to tight on his face and they returned them and gave him a credit for new ones. We had to pay shipping to send them back
