Zentangle Classic Tile Prompt 01 with String and Tangles

I want to share an idea based on the weekly prompts that I see in the Facebook group called “Today’s Tangles: Keeping it Classic”. CZT Sandy Kelley-Jones kindly allowed me to show one of her prompts that she provides weekly to her group, but my prompt has fewer tangles. Many of my followers are new to Zentangle and don’t have Facebook accounts, so this is for you and anyone who needs ideas on how to begin a new tile. I hope that you’ll enjoy this. Supplies Used in the video:
Zendala, 3.5" Zentangle tile, a sketchbook, or any paper
Black Micron 01 pen or PN (or your choice of pens and colors)
Graphite pencil (any pencil should work)
Blending stump
Optional: Colored pens or pencils

Thank you, Dee. I appreciate your comments and I completely understand how you feel. The hardest part is just trying and then appreciate what you’ve drawn. Remember I’ve been doing this since 2018, and I still worry about pattern combinations. Try not to compare yourself to others. Instead, look at how you are improving. It’s ok to copy what I’ve done but try switching things up. The Zentangle Primer is a great resource and guide. I started reading it again this week and using those patterns with great results. I’ll show my tile when I do the next Prompt video. Do what you enjoy! 🥰❤️ Happy tangling!!

Like the prompt, but like it better with ideas for tangles. As usual, no one has to use the same tangles as you, but it gives newbies ideas to help with self confidence.

I love this idea. I found zentangle through Kelli’s floral series earlier this year. I looked for a beginner class but couldn’t find any in my area. I also wanted to say how much I love everything about your videos! I love that you don’t speed up or add sound, I love the voice instruction.
