Barbara, I have a deep appreciation for you as an artist and a teacher. I am not a CZT. Quite some years ago, I found this book: "One Zentangle A Day" . . . That 'hooked' me. Since then, I have discovered a number of artists who present new patterns and I enjoy learning those patterns from their KZbin presentations. I also like Alice Hendon's Tangle All Around Facebook Site. She offers new tangles to explore, too. Because I am quite old, I have found that doing "Tangled Art" is a force that enlivens me each and every day. I am also a watercolorist and sometimes the two elements work together quite well. However, I always turn to you for inspiration and ideas. I thank you.

Wow, Wilma. Thank you so very much! Your comments make me very happy and I’m so glad that my videos inspire you. I used that same book to draw my first tiles. It’s awesome! Thank you so much for watching my channel and for your kind comments! 🥰❤️

Funny how I am finding this video again a year later and again during our monsoon season here in Arizona but we have not even really had any measurable rain yet and we’re about a month and a half into it. This is just one of my favorite patterns, and I always need a little Refresher course on how to put it all together. And you do it so lovely.❤ this time I did find that page of stars, and printed it out and ran it through my laminating machine so I can cut out all of the little star patterns. Thank you for showing us where to find it.

Thank you, Polly. ❤️ I’m glad you found it to be helpful. We’re a little short in rain here in Houston, but hurricane season is supposed to get busy in the next few months. 😯

Thank you for a wonderful video. I’m finding this video in the middle of summer in Arizona just coming into our monsoon storm season. I love that quote and I think I’ll put that right where I do my tangling to keep me aware of the thought. 🥰❤️

I finally was able to do this video. I was looking for a star shape. I ended up printing a star from the Internet and traced around it onto my card. Looks very nice, I just did some shading at the end. Thank you Barbara! :)

I agree with Diana. It could be her Hamadox. Lovely star.

I don't know where I found the original pattern steps that I drew in my sketchbook, but it was fun to deconstruct it and draw it again.

Great way of drawing the star, just a hint for the inner pattern, take a look at my pattern Hamadox, if you start with a hexagon (in the center of the star by extending the outlines in a auraknot fashion) same result, just another way to draw it. Hamadox was featured in inktober 2020, l love how you deconstructed it and draw it on this way.

Hello, Diana! Thanks for the tip! I will definitely have to try it starting with a hexagon in the center. Thanks for your comments! :)

Diana, do you have an image of this posted anywhere? I'm trying to draw this as you suggested, but really struggling. I'd love to see what you did with this. You can share at my email address: notperfectzen@gmail.com Thanks!
