Why do you like the knockback so much? I haven't played Zen much at all in OW2 yet. I would have thought the increase in dmg on his kick would be the best change (between knockback and dmg).

@@SFuruli It does so much to get someone off you in a duel. When someone like a Genji is trying to murderize you, kicking launches them up stopping their damage for a little and allows you to get some easy shots. It can help you survive a freaking tank at times long enough to get to your team

I used to play him a lot in OW1, love the hero, but I think it's very slow in OW2, so I'm playing a lot more Kiriko in OW2, those Kunai's to the face are so fun to hit

I feel like hes much faster in ow2. His passive, lack of barriers, and kick passive allowing him to get close range enemys off of him makes him really independant and strong. I sometimes find myself flanking and poking off enemy healers lol

I am by no means a good player (doesn’t help i’m stuck on consol), but I’ve improved a lot since ovw1. Zen is my absolute favorite support to play and vids like these always help! He’s so much fun and i’ve gotten a lot more comfortable playing as him from tips like these 😊

I like him because you don't have to put much attention onto the healing. Asl ong as there is line of sight and no breaks in LoS form ore than a few seconds you can heal them. Some like genji are hard to heal because they are all over the place and fast. But with zen no problem keeping them healed. Can focus on throwing damage and keeping LoS every few seconds.

Another good tip for zen is bind your orbs to scroll wheel. That way if you dont have a good angle on your teammate or the enemy, you can just scroll while moving and it makes your chances of hitting the orb a lot higher.

One thing I appreciate about Zenyatta is that his melee has further knockback I had a Tracer who I just could not hit, and it was really getting on my nerves so I just led her to the edge of the map, she jumped behind me and I Sparta kicked her ass into the endless abyss off the map After that, anytime I saw her, I’d do the same thing over and over, and she learned quickly to not be so eager And everytime she chased me, no matter how careful she was, a single kick would end her every single time She didn’t like me, but you know what? Tracer is really hard to hit, I found a counter and used it I also just like his voice lines, they’re so calming and inspiring that they almost prevent me from feeling anger

I love playing Zen he is definitely my most played character. Thanks for the tips. I really need to start kicking a lot more. I can usually handle any tracers targeting me because I can predict her movements and I love charging my orbs to snipe out widows. Sombras are just mean sometimes and they like to bully me. They will go invisible and wait to hack and kill me when I’m leaving the spawn room. 😢

Zens harmony should not be looked at as healing, more like a buff. I watch my team carefully to see who is about to take a duel, and immediately harmony them and discord their target. I use zen as an enabler, if I feel like our tank needs to push a little harder, they get the harmony, if I see our dps about to take a duel in the enemy back line, they get the harmony even if I have a teammate beside me that’s critical. Do not play zen as a healer, he decides duels with his abilities

I ONLY play Zen now on OW2, Username changed to "GlorifiedZen" because i love him so much. Hated getting countered by genjis so much, i opened up a trainer with only genji, and fought the progressively harder bot for well over 3 hours, consistently for about a week. Now I am the counter to genji.

As they mentioned briefly, the biggest thing is using natural cover as much as possible. You can discord someone, duck behind cover to charge secondary fire, then pop out long enough to hit them. You definitely want to avoid too far out in the open since he has no movement abilities.

Just picked up Zen season 14, and he's very fun to play. Most of my Play Of The Game was sniping widows, or triple killing the enemy with my ally going into Kitsune ult. Also, booping tracer with my kick is very satisfying. I will say he is wonderful if you have another teammate playing as support in open que. If you're the only healer, you might be in for a rough ride.

I’m a support player in low GM, currently trying to expand my roster because I’m mostly a mercy, bap, kiriko player. I’m a very heal botty support (I know when to do damage, but I’m insecure about aim so I take a lot less shots if I could be healing instead, smth I need to work on). I can play most every support with the exception of Zenyatta (and Lucio bc imo he’s completely map dependent NOT comp dependent). I understand how his discord orb works but I think this video definitely helped me understand how to use my harmony orb better (I always assumed just heal the dps kinda like a mercy would do with beam). With the knowledge that no I shouldn’t ONLY be healing the dps (probably obvious but wasn’t for me) that will prob help a lot. Also the dive knowledge sounds extremely helpful, i didn’t know what comp zen was supposed to work with and that’s probably going to help. Anyway If anyone has any Zenyatta tips that weren’t included for a low gm (gm 5) I’d be happy to listen!

I love using him (since in All Roles I always fall on Support). I usually use Orb on the Tank and Discord on whatever enemy he's targeting. The problem I have with him is speed, he is very slow and in game modes where I have to get somewhere fast (like the robot push, or attack the escort) I just cannot use him. And also his ultimate, although it heals fast it needs everyone in the same place, something that rarelly happens, and it does nothing to the other team... if it could at least slow down the enemies, that would be cool. BTW Mei got removed because she was "exploited" with her wall stopping the car and the robot from moving.

I've been maining Zen on my way to grind for Kiriko in the BP. I love his Damage and I even often out-damage my DPS as Zen. This is unrated though as I didn't want to play Comp until I have Kiriko, but I might as well just stay on Zen. A part of me feels like I'm wasting my aim playing on Support, but Zen feels like a good compromise. Kiriko meanwhile has good burst, but Zen just does it better imo. Kiriko still has better heals and team util tho ofc.

I’ve been playing Zen for a long time, since OW1, but I haven’t played too much of the game and am mostly casual. But, having those little icons at the bottom of who has what is such a nice quality of life feature. Sometimes I would tend to spam my discord (I still do when I panic) so much so that it wouldn’t actually be of any help. That little feature has made that so much clearer in my head. I’m still trash, don’t get me wrong, but it’s something. Edit: also, question on how the LOS works. For Discord, does LOS mean that none of our team has visual, or is it both teams? Same thing for Harmony, that would be quite helpful to know.

there is no such thing as focus on healing with zen... he can only orb 1 ally at a time so just make sure your orb is always out on someone. try to aim it where its needed like if a dps is forward but if u can't aim it innthe chaos having it on someone is always better team no one. likewise make sure the chaos orb is always out as well zen will almost always (if u have decent aim) being doing significantly more damage then heals. rushing is not a thing with zen he has zero movement or escape. u shud never be in the front line with zen ...ever. play from corners, behind cover or in the middle or back layer of your team. behind a shield tank is fine as well. be aware of where u could get flanked and be ready to kick if jumped on.

As a wrecking ball main, the tip about switching off zen is very important When ever i see a zen on the enemy team I know our team has won as they will be down a player the entire game unless zen switches (witch they won’t)
