Great post. I’m 6 weeks in on 2.5 moving up to 5 today. The people freaking out started to freak me out. I also find that when I’m not hyper focused on protein, calories, macros blah blah I do better mentally and my results are better. I’m down 9.5 in 6 weeks with very little side effects. Love your videos. ❤

Yes Gina, I'm on exactly the same as you, but I did just go up on this week to .75 on trizepatide and down 9.5 as well and no side effects. I have ben tracking my macros and it's starting to get a little obsessive. I love this video and and am going to try to not be so hyper focused on the other things.

I'm a counter (it does work for me) but I totally see your point!!! I just don't want to be on the meds forever, so I want to build lifelong habits of normal portions, better choices, etc with or without meds. Personally I just like seeing the portion of food compared directly to the calories and macros so it starts to become subconscious visualizing what I'm taking in while eating as a forever skill. For example if you count calories and start dishing out some mayo!! Oh boy it's a wake up call how terrible that stuff is to slather on your food.
@annwittrock22983 ай бұрын
I needed to hear this! I don't think I'm obsessing, but I am tracking everything I eat to make sure I'm getting enough protein. Either way, great reminder! Maybe now that I'm into it a bit, I can stop tracking because I know what to eat. Thanks!

I stayed on 2.5 for 3 months and lost 20 and move to 5 I am down 35 week 16. Actually week 18 I took 2 weeks off for vacation. I agree don’t compare with others and don’t over think it. I have been pretty chill. I walk almost everyday but if I can’t it’s ok. I also eat about half of what I used to. Example 3 tacos now maybe two. 2 hot dogs now 1. My food cravings have slowed. I am ok with a loss of a pound or two a week which it has slowed to. Great video.

Brittany… first of all a huge THANK YOU for keeping it real. I have been following your journey since the tummy tuck and was very envious of your ability to go on a GLP1. Wegovy was just approved in Canada for weight loss and I gathered up all the strength I could to ask my doctor to put me on it and she said YES! Anyway I’ve been waiting for my insurance approval and while I wait I’ve been deep into Facebook groups that have been pretty much doing what you described in this video. Treating this just like another diet. THANK YOU for addressing this and waking me up. I realize I need to stay out of those groups and just “do me” as I have already been obsessing on what foods to buy etc. I can see that I’ll be visiting this video often for my moral support. 🚌. 💕

My Dr. Started me on 5. I have been on this does for 7 weeks so far I am not experiencing any of the GI side effects. I only get a metallic taste in my mouth the first day after the injection. I am diabetic so I was looking to lower my A1-c and fasting glucose level. After 3 days I had to cut my metformin in half. So far I am down 13lbs which is fabulous. I usually lose weight very slowly so I this has been a very good change. I think this drug has been a game changer for me.

Omg.. I thought that metallic taste was from a new face moisturizer I bought😅lol.. this makes sense.. Now I just need to evidently titrate up from this beginning dose bc I’m not having the appetite suppression at all PERIOD😟 No side effects either! I did make a comment tonight in here for Brittany.. I hope she finds it and tells me her thoughts🙏🏼 Best to you.. sounds like you’re getting good results🤗

Great points in this video. When I started MJ, I was Uber focused on calories, macros, how I was feeling on the drug, etc. I became obsessed and I began to realize this was taking up too much of my time. Since I’ve let this go, I almost forget I’m on the medication. And I’ve lost more weight consistently. Coincidental? Maybe but I don’t think so.
@Brittanylosing3 ай бұрын
I don’t think so either! The entire point of the medicine is to calm our minds, so overthinking it won’t help at all!!
@lmktacwa3 ай бұрын
🚛 I 100% agree that the ultimate goal is to get back to balance and natural good food choices. However, I am of the mind that when you are starting out, you should track your calories and macros to ensure that you are eating enough. It took me almost 2 months before I had it all dialed in and felt confident enough to cowboy it, so to speak. For so many people, they either believe it's a magic pill and they can keep eating crap food and just less of it //OR// they have no idea what a healthy diet is. Not to mention those who say well I wasn't hungry today so I didn't eat. So for those feeling lost in the beginning, I encourage tracking calories and protein, focusing on nutrient dense whole food. Once you have that dialed in, then yes, let the medicine work its "magic" as a tool to listen to your body and nourish it to health. Always enjoy your videos!
@Brittanylosing3 ай бұрын
Oh that’s what I was getting at- the beginning dose is not a therapeutic dose so the full effect won’t be reached (for most of us) in the beginning.

@@Brittanylosing gotcha! I am a lucky one. was very successful on 2.5 only recently bumped to 3.0mg. It seems to be doing the job. since I have 200 lbs to lose, I am grateful that I can titrate up slowly. Have seen a number of YT glp-1 folks saying they regret titrating up too fast. But yes I know I am a unicorn in that respect. I have not had covid either so double unicorn! 🦄🦄

Thank you. I'm only on my 2nd week but I'm over stressing myself on protein and getting the right foods in. I feel like I'm restricting myself quite a bit already but if I could do this (lose weight) on my own with diet and exercise, I wouldn't be paying the money for tirzepitide. Thanks for posting this!

Yes, same here! Today 08/10/24 is day 4 of my second dose. Have only lost 2 lbs and the stress I put on myself Is crazy! I’m trying so hard to only weigh in every other day, I know it’s mental, but I used to step on the scale 2 times per day. So slowly, but hoping I get there!

@@mleal8814 I'm glad I'm not the only one! It sounds like we started on the same day--I've lost 2-3 pounds, too. I told myself I'd only step on the scale once a week right before my weekly shot so I don't worry myself too much. I'm hopeful that once we tirate up that we'll start seeing the therapeutic benefits so many have. We'll get there. Good luck!

@@Weissmjm1 thank you, I weighed myself today and haven’t lost anything. I’ve cut out chips, random snacking, stopped baking desserts for the family so I don’t eat them, I feel like I’m not eating a lot. I’m not counting calories, but I know it can’t be over 1000 in a day. It’s so upsetting and disappointing watching all these people lose weight so fast (including my husband) he’s down 55 lbs in 3 months.

Great video! I'm on my 11th week of Mounjaro 2.5. Started 2 shots of 2.5 2 weeks ago, per my doctor, because my insurance would not let me titrate up until i finished my 2.5 doses. Picked up my Mounjaro 5 today. Curious if it will feel different than 2 2.5 injections. Still trying to find out what works for me. 1 step at a time. I do feel healthier since I've started Mounjaro. And that's what counts for me.

Thanks for the info. This was a really good bit of information. I am in my 7th week and have lost about 10# on compounded tirzepatide. None at first and then I realized like you said, I was not therapeutic at .25. I started losing at .5 and just titrated up to .75 this week. I'm hoping this will increase it a little. I'm not trying to lose too fast just steady. I've learned a lot from your videos and I also listen to Dr. Tyna Moore. I really don't have any side effects, so I know I'm lucky, but I'm wondering if that is why I wasn't losing any weight, it just wasn't strong enough yet. I do have a little constipation, but Greek yogurt usually fixes that and I'm taking a good probiotic. Anyway, thanks for all the info and encouragement and see you next time. 🚌

🚌 Hey girl.. thank you for this! Question please.. I took my 5th compounded Tirzepatide shot tonight and chose to stay the same beginning dose bc I’m nervous to titrate, and don’t know how much to increase .. But I’ve not had any food suppression,, I still crave food daily! I don’t get a “full” feeling quickly .. I’m never nauseous.. 4lbs loss scale says but my waist measures even larger! I don’t have alot to lose, only 20ish but that’s a lot for my frame! I’m 10units on syringe of compounded Tirzepatide! Tonight you’ve confirmed to me that it’s just not enough! I’m in between drs just now and my appt isn’t till December with new Primary Dr. Do you think I’d be ok to add 5 units to my 10 that I’m on presently! Thanks so much🤗 I welcome any comments also👍🏼
