Zephaniah: The Bible Explained

The prophet Zephaniah prophecies the end of the world. Soon, God will cover the earth in a purifying flame. God’s fire will burn all evil and proud people from the earth, but it will leave behind a cleansed world for the humble to inherit.
Ultimately, the end of the world began when Jesus came to earth. In his life, he began to purge the world of its evil and pride. And through his humble death, Jesus made a way for the humble to inherit the earth.

I ❤ the book of Zephaniah!❤ I personally believe it is a prophecy we are seeing unfold today. Chapter 2:1-3 is the gathering of the believers to be saved from what is coming! Gaza will be abandoned, thats not hard to imagine today.

Brilliant as always. Currently making my way through Jeremiah and Matthew Henry's commentary of it echoes some of Zephaniah's warnings. "The proud unhumbled heart of man is one of the most daring enemies God has on this side hell. " May we all be humbled before His cleansing fire.
