Zeph, I have been following you for nearly 2 years. Your journey has inspired me to try all of your suggestions. I got a FUE in February of 2015, but I want fuller hair without another procedure. I added topical min/fin from Happy Head last July. After about 3 months I started seeing results. The progress has continued. My hair has definitely thickened overall. Supposedly, I must wait about two years to see full effect of the topical min/fin. I am 58, so I am trying to not be unrealistic. Since I use hair root/shadow I feel so much better about my hair. I had been wearing hats way too much and always unsatisfied with pics of me.

A very important disclosure when using Minoxidil on any %, first you might experience the side effects such as more hair falling out, but after using it a few months (up to 6) you will see results. It's very important to be consistent and not give up if you see more hair falling out

I hear you completely, I've started out with a full head of hair but my hairline was high. Then it transitioned to a non-balding maturing hairline which was straight but wasnt balding, at this point I still couldnt do much because I didnt have a small forehead. Now? I regret not appreciating what I have, from 16 I had an amazing full head of hair, by 19 I was Norwood 1 and it just progressively got worse and worse. I'm at a point now where I have a V hairline I have baby hairs on my temple making it extremely difficult to hide it through a long haired combover. I'm now 27, I've been wearing hats throughout my entire 20s and I've had enough. Enough is enough, Ive been in denial for treatment, been denial for a hair transplant. I'm going to start committing to some real treatment because I'm tired of not liking what used to be my best feature in High School (my hair).

Thanks to tell us your journey =) Here in UK, there are brands who use oils with minoxidil to have an alcohol-free solution. It works best for me having very long hair because I noticed that after a few months the alcohol solution was making my hair much drier and the feeling wasn't great! With Finesteride, I only applied topically mixed with minoxidil but I experienced very strong heart palpitations after a couple of months, so I had to stop that (I even have very low blood pressure!) :( I had no courage to do the microneedling even if I bought a pen ages ago..never heard about the stamp which can be useful in the back area where I guess it's more difficult to do it with a pen! My boyfriend is bald and I am continuing to look for products and processes that he might be open to to regain some hair. Like you described, he wears a hat almost 24/7. I like the ball caps....but the touques in the winter...sheesh...never takes them off even indoors or at Christmas dinner! He won't say, but it must be hard on the esteem. Alas, he doesn't really have a great head shape for baldness, though if he could be confident, that would make a difference. I can see he is uncomfortable being bald. I applaud you on your commitment to keeping your hair. Looks great. I am not sure he would be willing to do all of that....I would need to just pick one or two things that he would be willing to try and see if that helps. He reported his hair loss after a very stressing period in his life...I didn't know him at that time...and he said it doesn't run in his family. It just never came back. The stress also resulted in some lost teeth. He is a mess really. lol. No self care happening I am afraid.

Shampoo your hair twice/once a week and condition accordingly. 3. Apply Reactivate hair serum serum by littlelextraa daily. 4. Regularly trim your hair at a specific time, e.g., once a month or twice. 5. Don't checking at your hair for weeks and so. 6. Avoid taking any stress.

Looks so good!! All the men in my family lose hair like crazy as they near their twenties. Most shave the rest by the time they’re 25-30. Meanwhile, all the women in my family have a LOT of hair. Pregnancy hormones seemed to double thickness and length of my hair during those years. Not kidding. The pictures surprise even me, now that I’m past those years. Now, I’m putting minoxidil on and microneedling my 17 yo son because he’s thinning above the temples. So unfair for the men! We love you both ways, but understand the desire to keep your hair.

Do you know that minoxidil does not need to be applied twice a day? Once a day is enough as long as the product lasts between 18 to 21 hours. The twice a day prospect indication is because they still apply the original 1984 study. Another important thing with minoxidil for it to work is being able to transform the compound into sulfotransferase (a few either men or women scalps are not able to do so).

I did scalp massage for a year before discovering I was a minoxdil hyperresponder and reversing my hair loss in 3 months, I don't think that it does anything and I was fairly consistant at an average of 30minutes a day, the commitment was real I still think that massage holds some benefit, but not the mainstream technique Feel the bone that runs from your cheekbones to the front of your ears on each side of the face, above it you will feel a tense muscle massage it by pressing it with your fingers until it's perfectly relaxed, then massage your tamples. You might also feel a tense muscle there You should then notice that your whole frontal scalp is less tense, which if the scalp tension hypothesis is true would be beneficial for preventing hair loss/promoting regrowth Appart from that massage technique that basically tries to relax your scalp perimeter muscles I don't think that playing with the skin for 42 minutes a day does anything. Also my technique takes 1 minute and you can just do it whenever you feel that the muscles are tensing up

How many times do you wash your hair in a week? And do you ever wash it without shampoo and conditioner? I’m sorry if I missed it in your video

Great video! Do you think leaving out the minoxidil but keeping everything else in the routine would yield good results? I've used minoxidil before and I'm not the biggest fan, but im happy its worked well for you! I've heard good things about finasteride as an alternative and have been wanting to try it out. Would i just substitute the 2x a day minoxidil w the finasteride or stick to 1x a day?
@plamenyordanov13110 ай бұрын
finasteride is not a substitute for minoxidil. Finasteride bloks some DHT production in the body, while minoxidil stimulates blood flow in the folicles. If DHT continues to build up in those folicles, hair will continue to fall off.
@samvad66389 ай бұрын
Try both. One is not a substite for the other.

For maximum efficiency you need all treatments: Finasteride, minoxidil and microneedling in deep length. If possible Tretinoin is also a magical with minoxidil combo.
@g.35218 ай бұрын
@@maorizio1Is the deep length really necessary? I read somewhere that 0.6mm is actually the ideal
@maorizio18 ай бұрын
@@g.3521 0.3 to 0.6 is enough only for topical absorption, you simply penetrate the epidermis which is enough for absorption of topicals. But for all the benefits like inducing growth factors, collagen production and follicle proliferation you need to reach the dermis which for most of us is 1mm-1.5mm deep. Going deep isn’t dangerous but it’s little more painful with some pinpoint blood.

Hey great video! The days i use the derma stamp, would it be alright to apply rosemary oil/coconut oil after the stamping then have a hair wash the next morning? Thanks!

I started balding when I was 16! The amount of bullying I received because of it caused me to have some serious depression, anxiety and trauma. Now I wear a hat every single day and have a mental breakdown if someone takes it off. I’m 30 now and im not completely bald, I’ve been able to manage it but i am still very much balding. Im going to try this method and hope for the best. I miss feeling free

So you use one full dropper of the rosemary and pumpkin seed oils 1-4 ratio mix 2 to 3 times a week?

I took oral fin + min 5% foam and had side effects that took almost a year to get over. I'm still getting palpitations but the panic attacks have subsided once I started keto 10 months later. In the first few months it was crippling, I had panic attacks several times a day every day. Now I have a genuine fear of putting those medicines back in my body.

Just to clarify, does the rosemary oil cancel out the drying effects of minoxidil?

Hi, I used rosemary oil incorrectly and it made me bald a bit where I used it, what do you think I should do, use it correctly from now on or not touch it at all? Would appreciate help.

and hats do cause hairloss as far as i know considering they clamp up your already sensitive hair causes it to heat up and considering if you use minox in the morning your scalp is going to become more sensitive which is even worse if you’re under the sun, gonna heat up even more
@jfc47989 ай бұрын
That's nonsense. Hair loss is a natural thing you will either get or don't get. Otherwise every Sikh man in the world would be bald.

It would be cool to see maybe where you buy the products, or maybe how you can get it cheaper, a walk through maybe on your process of getting them. Just because lets say you are buying the minoxidil and finasteride, some places or brands sell them cheaper than others if they are going to do the same thing, then why not buy it cheaper you know what I mean? Or does the brand actually matter in this case? I would love to see a video on that.

Great video, love the detail. My hair is a bit longer and gets oily very fast. Because of that I wash my hair every day. Is that a bad thing to do would it interrupt the treatment?

Washing your hair every day is never a good idea. Don't use shampoo every day, specially if it contents silicones and sulfate.
