Thanks for the education and raising awareness about these games from Zeppelin.

Nice to see you covering Zeppelin, but you missed a couple of their very best games. Firstly Draconus, one of the most highly regarded Atari 8-bit games that was first released at full-price on their Cognito label and then later at budget price. The other one you missed was Star Wars, which like The Living Daylights was coded for Domark by Zeppelin and a very good port of the Atari arcade games. I am pretty sure I've reviewed both in my books.

Those are noted at the beginning as already being covered and recommended. Thos was covering just the 9 hidden gems I had not covered yet. Thanks for the info on their re-releass.

@@IntoTheVerticalBlank Nope, you don't mention either of them at all, which is why I did! It's also interesting to note that Zeppelin Games are still going to this very day, but now call themselves Eutechnyx. Also, you mentioned not covering Kenny Dalglish as it's a bit "niche" but I don't think you realise how popular the football manager genre is now. It literally kept Sega afloat for many years and Football Manager is still one of the best selling games worldwide every single year, I'd say it was worth covering.

Did Zeppelin do re-releases? The Living Daylights was originally released by Domark. Phantom was originally a Tynesoft release. I had a copy and remember that while it was a pretty good game, the collision detection sucked, making it much harder than it should have been. I did have Mirax Force and Binky's Scary School. You did miss what was probably their best known game, though, Zybex. I'm pretty sure that Cognito was their full price label, through which they launched Draconus.

Good points. They did re-release some games by others in a less expensive form. I just wanted a way to keep them all Zeppelin games in a single video but I'll be doing Tynesoft and Domark separately also.
@TheLairdsLair4 ай бұрын
Yes, they did re-release stuff too and you are correct, Cognito was their own full-price label and both Draconus and Kenny Daglish appeared on that first.

I would have paid good money for Fantastic soccer. I never knew it existed. I meed to try it even though it seems too slow.
@IntoTheVerticalBlank4 ай бұрын
It is a little on the slow side. There is a kick off for Atari 8bits too that looks worse, but plays better.

Covered in ab earlier video. I do mention it at the beginning as a gem that needs to be on your 400 mini or 8bit. Great game.
