actually, square shinies are the more common ones because of a glitch in the code, when you encounter a pokemon it does a random number generator of 1 - 4096 and if it hits the number its shiny and then its supposed to roll again for a 1/16 chance for a square shiny, but in swsh the code is messed up and instead of it doing the shiny roll once, it does it twice and if the second roll isn't also a shiny it will instantly set it to 1 which is the square shiny number, so the only way to get a star shiny in swsh is to get the first roll of a shiny so 1/4096 then hit that again so its a 1/16.7 million chance to get a star shiny in swsh, on top of that if you get a square shiny roll naturally and not the glitched code way its even rarer.

Keep in mind while reading this comment that I love this creator, and this video. The actual run part of the challenge is easy. The hard part is just getting good shinies, which naturally happens by doing runs anyway. I already completed this challenge just for fun.

The only hard run is the first one. As you unlock better shinies, egg moves, starters with passives etc it becomes trivial.

It does indeed work the same way as the mainline games.

The only difference is that you can stack up to 5 of them, for a total 50% chance to survive every lethal attack. You'll only see that in Endless mode though, realistically.

I cheesed my Eternatus fight with Glaceon. It gets the Let’s Go Pikachu/Eevee ice move which clears all stat boosts + it’s super effective vs Eternatus.

If there's a daily run that has one of the pokemon you want to get candies for (preferably early on) you can just keep doing the run to that point and resetting. If the encounter is close enough to the start you can find a line that guarantee catches the thing, cause the rng is always the exact same. its tedious and grindy but you can bust through one pokemon's upgrades in a couple hours

Another thing you coulda done for eggs btw is endless 5x voucher at the end every 50 waves (which is a paradox mon on 50th) And 10x every 250th And vouchers tend to show up in the shop more often

Plus with DNA splicers Eternatus is free. You just need to splice a Klefki with a pokémon with percentage damage moves (like Infestation, Sandstorm, Leech Seed etc), unfuse it to keep the moves, then splice it with a Dachsbun to get a Fairy/Steel type with Well Baked Body, which is immune to all of Eternatus' offensive moves. Then click Heal Block and wear it down while it can do nothing except spam Cosmic Power.
