I used to have a Mercane Wide Wheel and gave me alot of issues with the motors and brake. I had to return it and I’m about to purchase the 8X this week. My question to you is - Have you ever had any mechanical issues with the 8X? And has your tires worn out?

Kurt Gomes so far so good! The only issues I’m having is with the brakes and it isn’t even really an issue. I wish the 8X came stock with hydraulic brakes.....the 8X just doesn’t seem like it gets great stopping power. I’ve only had a few close calls where I needed to lock them up and they did decent enough. But in general when you’re riding they don’t feel that good. Only other thing is it seems the battery will go before the motors. Since August I’ve lost about .5 volts of capacity. When it came it charged up to 58.8 volts. According to the manual it will lose power at 41 volts.....so that gives you about 18 volts to use. If I’ve lost .5 already in 3 months. Safe to say I’m losing about 2 volts per year. Sure 2-3 years is still a lot of use out of this scooter but I’d like to see a higher quality battery used for the price point. So far the tires are ok. There is a little bit where you can tell the tread has worn but it isn’t significant. I take my corners pretty hard too but it looks like they are holding up really nicely. Hope that helps! I also own a 8x , all around build quality is solid, suspension is awesome, the major downside I feel is the battery quality. Let’s face it if you buy this and your like me you’re probably gonna wanna go full throttle most of the time. Range when riding mode 3 is 12 miles at best . I’ve had mine for 2 months and haven’t lost voltage but it seems to drop more rapidly. Tires are good ,replacement parts I haven’t needed any yet hope there accessible without to much hassle. You might wanna look into the 10x with the 24 volt battery or the dualtron spider with the bigger battery.... if you’ve got the funds ...but for the price I give it a 8 out of ten

Day Var exactly. No ones buying this scooter to ride in gear 1 with a single motor.....always both motors, turbo, and gear 2 or 3. But yeah, battery drains really quickly in gear 3. Replacement parts seem fairly accessible. Seems like all these scooters use similar parts like the LCD and throttle.

@@ADayintheLifeofMr23 I would try to step up the auto breaking. This helps at top speeds with braking. I keep it at level 3. The battery is shit, yes. I've dropped to 57,4 full charge :(((

Hi dear, Are you having the same issues that others have with this model? Crackling and knocking noises from the head pole. The reviews are a little sceptical and negative about this scooter. What’s your opinion?

Hello! Yes, unfortunately I am experiencing that also. I did another video with a quick fix for that but the other good news is a third party company has released an upgraded clamp for the head pole. I haven’t gotten one yet but that is one of the future upgrades I will be doing. Falcon PEV has them on their site or I believe you can find a seller on alibaba.com too. As far as the scooter in general.......I can’t say enough good things about it. I wouldn’t hesitate for a second to buy this thing again! Most fun I’ve had since I was a kid! I haven’t encountered anything so far that this scooter couldn’t handle. Don’t really lose too much speed either. So fun!

My Dualtron Mini, (single motor 1450w scooter) has no problem climbing hills. It weighs just 20kg, (which helps with both acceleration and hill climbing). Comes with a really solid steering column, having no creaks and groans and very little flex. On the down side : The suspension can be quite stiff, if you weigh in less than 200lbs

Hey there. Thanks for watching. I got my scooter about a year ago and at the time it was difficult to find a lot of information about other brands of high speed scooters. The dualtron does look like a pretty cool brand tho. That is one of the things I dislike about the 8X is how heavy it is. But there are far more positives. Thanks again!

@@ADayintheLifeofMr23 : I have only ridden mine once, as the charger had to be sent back, due to not being able to charge the beast. On my only ride, (so far) I was pleasently surprised how quickly it covered distances. I would estimate 3 or 4 times quicker than my Trek mountain bike, (with very little effort.) An escooter is definately the way to go... E bikes are less portable, heavier, and too expensive

That sucks about your charger. I actually did have an issue with mine too but it wasn’t until a few months in. Thankfully it was still under warranty. But I agree about the scooters. I’m building an electric longboard right now and am gonna post about it soon! That’s a little more portable but not quite as maneuverable and versatile as the scooter.

Thanks bro. I had the zero 10x 24ah and my mate had the zero 8x but we wanted more range and speed so I bought the Dualtron Thunder and he got the Dualtron 3. But the Zero brand are good scooters. I would have kept mine if I could afford both. Lol.

Rey Galos I’ve heard a lot of good things about the dualtron. I can already tell this is going to be an expensive hobby! Haha. I’ve got my eyes on the Summerboard next. It’s an electric skateboard that has 2 additional wheels in the middle to simulate how you carve with snowboarding. Goes 24mph/38kph and up to 12 miles/19km. This is just WAY too fun. The best part is it’s only gonna get better!!

Nice. Yes I’ve heard of it. I’m in Perth Western Australia and electric scooters are illegal here but I have an electric bike super 73Sg1 to ride around too but too slow top speed only 32kph.

Great video! I just got the Zero 10x and I love it. Hey I live pretty close to you and it would be great to take ride together sometime if your up for it? I live near Antelope road and fwy 80. I usually start at the hazel ave aquatic center bike trail and head up towards the dam. Looking for new cool places to ride. Cheers!

I’m dropping my car off at the dealership for some work and gonna ride the scooter home. But I’ll have some time off work in the next few weeks so we should plan something for sure!

I’m an in desperate need of tire changes and brakes for that matter. The brake pads I believe are bike brake pads so you can get those relatively easy. But I will have some of those videos coming soon. I built a skateboard so I’ve been sorta obsessed with that but I’ll get some out soon! Appreciate you!
