That was me at 0:52 getting sprayed down with the Legendary Drum Gun! I am both flattered and offended that I got to be in this video. 💀 The funny thing was, I was telling my brother about this game earlier today, and shortly after, when we were eating lunch and browsing KZbin, I told him to click on the video because I recognized the player's name. I quickly realized that it was the exact game I had been in! At first, my brother didn't believe me when I was telling him that this was the game I had been talking about, but then we both laughed when we saw my name pop up. After Zarraxus hunted me down, I spectated him, and I was shocked that he was able to hunt everyone else down and win the game. Dude made it look so easy. GGs!

Z should be placed into a "forced retirement" dude is just a menace in this game. Also as aggro as he is I like knowing I have escaped his full charge on a couple of occasions. I might not be able to kill him but my rat skills have kept me alive once he has put his sites on me....lol

I’d highly recommend him making a channel and posting his raw high elimination gameplays. There doesn’t have to be a voice over or anything. So much to learn from a fighting aspect that I’d absolutely love to watch more of them.

Great video. My key takeaway is how you said Zarraxus forced himself to try to do everything faster and that increased his APM over time as he kept pushing himself. That’s something any of us can work on.

Lol i always do things fast and always lose cus ofc im shooting first but my shot lands 5mm from target and then going to lobby 💀 So it doesnt work, dont do things fast, first do them perfectly but slow

@@TobyWanShinobi thats a good advice, but sometimes you want to chill and also its kinda hard to spot people constantly running but you're easy to spot when moving much so you'd better be as good as zarraxus in your aim and always have dashes if you want to run around map

Been playing with Zarraxus in ranked recently, he actually makes ranked fun. Much more fun than the campy gameplay I’ve sometimes been forced to play in higher ranks.

I think the word you’re going for is confidence. Just as much as this is a mechanical game it is a mental battle as well. Zarraxus has no lapse in his confidence throughout this entire game. Almost every one of his engagements start with HIM shooting, which tells his opponents, “I can win this fight.” The mental warfare going on from being tagged for low damage over a period of time creates anxieties in even the most hardened of players, never giving them time to catch their breath. Zarraxus is too confident in his own abilities to be defeated mentally in this game, and unfortunately, confidence is a really hard thing to teach…

Yea I agree with you. I’ve come across players who just put relentless pressure and I usually start feeling defeated overtime. I usually try to shock and reposition and get tags or something, but against this guy I don’t know if be able to lol

Confidence is something you can't really teach. It's something you gain through repeated exposure to you winning most engagements. The thing is, if someone is confident and not capable, that's called delusional.

I've noticed that when good players get damaged early, their first instinct is to escape and "reset" the fight. Zarraxus's ability to chase is so insane he never lets the fight get reset and I don't think many players know how to handle that; they caught caught in flight mode and fried.

Toby, I was very pleased with your analysis Key points I noticed: He neither relied on a sniper nor did snipers work on him. Third parties were also ineffective Campers couldn't hide (guy hiding in the roof) He proved that snipers aren't overpowered and siphon isn't needed. Awareness and efficiency (as you frequently teach about)

Obviously Zaraxus is better than 99% of most people but honestly I feel like this really highlights how OP the Cerebus medalion is. Most of his kills looks like hes able to just hunt people down while they are rotating. Not saying he can't drop a 19 bomb without the medallion but it sure would be a lot more difficult to cover that much ground (especially in end game when all the cars have been used up / destroyed). Dude could just straight up dash from bunker to bunker exterminating all the rats trying rank up by pure placement points.

I've gotten away from zarraxus fairly often without taking too much damage... Actually killing him is really hard... I'm really good at running away and repositioning and you can't have bad aim against zarraxus so 9.9 times out of ten I'll likely avoid fighting him if I can help it
