I used a dry fire red dot bullet laser and adjusted that way when using my green dot by swamp Fox Justice. I aimed with the dot and used where the laser ended up . From there I adjusted the green dot until where I aimed with the green dot matched the red dot of the laser bullet.

Thank you for sharing,I don’t know if this is correct but I use a laser bullet and adjust red dot to the point of impact on a target at 10 yards is seams to work very well,then a few slight adjustments at the range and it is right on the money
@ernestlangdon30752 жыл бұрын
Sure, that should get you close.

First time I put a Dot on my pistol I found out that spreading out the zero process between a few range trips is almost necessary we're not robots.

Same. And don't forget, the dot and irons are two different sighting systems and sometimes won't line up.

Try the easy fast 1shot method--- put red dot on center of target fire 1shot carefully clamp gun on target adjust red dot to be on hole you just made--- you are done--- yes I know it is not easy to clamp some guns but the process is too simple to be live try it also you may need a click to make it exact for your 3rd shot .

Was your gun a rifle or handgun if it was a handgun how did you clamp it?

Do you have a video for zeroing on the 1301? Distance rec for buckshot?
@josephragsdale13672 жыл бұрын
After you're satisfied with your zero, it's cheap insurance to take a fine tipped paint pen and mark the adjustment screws and the mounting screws.
@GeauxRussGeaux2 жыл бұрын
I use a silver sharpie to do that, and on the mounting screws.

I think I can zero my red dot with a combination of iron sights without making a single shot. I just have to adjust the red dot, so it will "sunset" behind the front iron sight right at the center of the front iron sight and at the same time when the back and front iron sights are in perfect alignment. Correct?
@LangdonTactical2 жыл бұрын
Watch this video! It's short and will answer some of your questions ;)

They are independent sighting systems, and while they are close, they need to be zeroed separately.
