Have you considered adding fog of war/field of view? At 7:42 I was like WTF??? Why people appearing from nowhere? I haven't played the game, just watching it, so maybe it feels different when you play it, but that moment looked weird to me.

Single Player Tarkov is something we need to have. Maybe some of us are getting older and can't deal with the stress of having someone better than us, so we have to spend even more time to get back to that point.

spt-aki mod brings single player to tarkov, never tried but it's very well received apparently.. i don't have enough time and patience anymore to get good at most multiplayers games

@@axl87 I played SPT. It's good overall but the bots use the same AI as the normal tarkov offline mode, so they're not particularly interesting. After some time you learn where they are and how they behave.

I feel this in my bones. I'm an old gamer, and I really can't keep up with the reflexes of the youth, which is a shame since, for some reason, games are gearing heavily towards pvp. I like good old single-player, or fighting AI in team games.

@@Gunnar_Konig There are some other mods you can run on SPT that bring it much closer to the original experience. Try out the bread and butter mod. Makes PMCs spawn in correctly and makes their AI better.

@@howtoguro definitely. The funny thing is, I downloaded the game myself and windows REALLY does not like it. Gave me a warning about it being potentially dangerous when I downloaded it, and another warning when I tried to open it

15:55 - The rewards were swapped, you should've gotten 50 rep and 1000 rubles. Also you have it as rubles when checking the mission and you got robles for the reward pop up.

2:11 The PU 3.5x scope, it's practically custom made for the mosin nagant, which by modern standards of customization is *horrific*... but back then it was also sort of the standard infantry rifle as well, so it was more like a 'customization' of sorts... it's interesting to see how tech changes as time goes on and new standards are made!

A "Mosin-Nagant" is a trigger, a barrel, a hammer, and a wood plank. With enough elbow grease, you can put anything you want to on it. Hell, I saw a dude make one into a bull-pup configuration.

What is shocking to me is that you have talented game designers (like the guy who built this) doing what they do through things like Kickstarter, then you look at the crap that is being put out by some of the so called “AAA” development studios. Man I am hooked on your style of game coverage. I've found and enjoyed so many of these hidden gems you cover. IMO Tarkov has been going to opposite direction it seems of what people want. I'm all for taking a concept and recreating it in a way to run on basically any platform like this game does. An Intel Celeron with four gbs of RAM could run this and it looks damn good. + procedural elements? I'm SOLD!

Wow, this is some intense and exciting stuff. Especially the combat! And there are some really interesting mechanics in place. Cool! One thing that popped up to me that could be improved is the visibility of the bodies and loot on the ground. No super obvious glowing marks around the interactable objects, but something to make the bodies visible on the ground. After a larger fight it could be easy to miss looting some of the bodies and there isn't really a need for that.
