Most all makers and semi customs ,will do cut outs for balance, and overall weight . It is like a bridge remove some parts and pieces and it will fail. Put them all in and you have an engineered piece of equipment.

Do you know of anyone making aftermarket kydex or leather sheaths for this? (Preferably leather) The factory kydex is shockingly bad (at least mine was) i was genuinely shocked just how poor the sheath was. The knife is amazing & deserves a VASTLY better sheath.

I got one and this vid influenced the decison. I think this vid hits all the accurate points of the knife. My only thought is the blade may be a tad thin on the survival side. Maybe the 3V steel going to make up for that, not sure. It's a good slicer, cutter, etc, but I'd be worried about any prying and hard use. There's always a trade off with any design, and maybe I'm just attracted to the "pry bar with a point" type survival/camp/bush craft knives. I hope to take it on a camping trip soon.

I would worry about bead blasted 3V and corrosion in an outdoor wet environment but love the look on this!

It’s bead blasted AND cerakote. It won’t hold up like DLC, but unless you use it as a diving knife, you should be OK.

the pommel looks like something that will comes loose when using the knife copping, similar to what happens to sog trident or creed knives. Otherwise I really like the design of the knife.

I agree, with that sheath. With a semi custom sheath like a Mashed Cat, I can see it. As is, it approaches the Difensa in cost by the time you get a good sheath.

Its skeletonized too much under the handle, makes for a cool looking knife with a weak design, for end of the world purposes that is. Love your vids man

I've literally never broken a single knife. Most of my blades are puukkos with a hidden tangs. (5mm pin visible at the pommel) Even a Mora robust with a rat tail tang is virtually unbreakable, the amount of force / abuse required to break even a rat tail tang is obscene.

I don't know if this is supposed to be the more high-end answer to the Gerber strong arm. These types of knives always strike me as the fixed blade for someone who wants to do zero research on what they're buying. The Cold Steel SRK is half the price and a better design; and at ZT's price point you'd be way better off getting a Bark River.
