melting point is my favorite zb1 song so far, period! the fact that they're promoting it with such cute choreo and outfits has made me love it even more. i think they kinda suit that softer vibe more than crush.

i felt like i wrote this comment myself. i am such a sucker for melting point it is my song of the year for sure for bg bsides and i wish it could have been the title bc crush isnt my cup of tea and it didn't fit cohesively with the album's overall sound. however, for the sake of duality i can see why this is the chosen title track

As a singer I love taeraes voice so much. He doesn’t have a pop or K-pop type of sound it’s has more of an emotional kinda classical type of sound and that’s why I love his parts because it really just kinda adds this extra emotion and depth to their songs. It’s so beautiful and unique.

Excuse me, don’t say the words “Go to war” in a ZB1 video ever again, okay, we just lost Hyungwon from Monsta X to the bald head and enlistment for two years, (I am still crying over losing Mr. Rover, himself) I don’t need to think about Jiwoong, Hanbin, Taerae or any of them shaving their heads and disappearing for two years 😭 (unless they come back looking jacked, like Shownu or Minhyuk from BTOB🤫 but I digress) P.S. But yeah he can sing really good and he is stable so idk why they make him "rap" mostly. Also he can rap too but they just need to give him lines that don't sound awkward, like ones with flow if yk what i mean?

@@taeyongsredboot Yeah fair I don’t listen a whole lot, a few songs from the first album mostly but I don’t pay that much attention to who is singing. Honestly probably couldn’t differentiate between a Jiwoong, Yujin or Gyuvin line just by listening. I have watched a lot of the variety but I can’t remember hearing him sing. When I think about it all that comes to mind is the bp performances where he mostly got those weird speaking but not rapping lines. Definitely hard agree in that case tho, like if the man can sing then by all means they rlly should let him. Or yeah at the least stop just giving him the weird speaking lines and give him actual rap

to me Taerae's voice has become essential for ZB1 just like Taehyung for BTS, they got that emotional depth and color that's hard to replicate, you're just born with it. i also think Ricky's voice gives a similar feeling but his style is much more contemporary, very R&B

Taerae is definitely not a baritone, not even a low tenor. His range from what has been demonstrated is that of a typical tenor. I think there's something very... tongue-based about his singing. Muppety. Not in a bad way. His voice definitely contrasts with the others' and I've grown to appreciate it more across the albums so far.

My biggest complaint for all these songs other than take my hand is the length. There are too many damn people in this group for the tracks to be sub-3 minutes. I keep seeing arguments over the line distributions and cant help but feel at least half of them would be resolved by adding 45-60 seconds to every track.
