Really appreciate watching someone who is having fun making models, Esp as I know there is more work involved in doing a "simple" model like this, ie making it first, then making it again for the video.. Hope you keep enjoying yourself. Your channel is going to be awesome by years end when we are all on 2.8 and messing with real time rendering and other goodies therin.

And I really appreciate great feedback like this from you. I'm also really looking forward to 2.8. I have waited to upgrade and it's going to be great. Thanks for the support.

Dont know if anyone gives a shit but if you're stoned like me during the covid times you can stream all of the new movies on InstaFlixxer. I've been streaming with my brother during the lockdown =)

Thank you it was easy to understand and fun to follow along. I am not sure I did understand well "bending" part when we are doing the back of the seat. It's on me I guess, otherwise now I have a great chair thanks to you good sir.

Just finished this tutorial and I'm about to move on to the materials video. Your channel is awesome man! Really great tutorials. I actually just started working with blender at my school and one of my projects is to make a virtual studio for the background of our morning announcements. I figured an office chair would be a good starting point for making an office background. Really happy I stumbled upon this. A tutorial on making a basic studio background would be awesome, or maybe a tutorial on good studio lighting if you see this. Good stuff. Not sure if I like you or BornCG more

I dont know if this is intended or not, but the way you work is very intuitive. Your ways of making shapes help me understand the nature of modeling, for which I feel immense gratitude. One note though, sometimes your webcam blocks a part of the modifiers you're using. For example, at 37:40, I can't see what you change there, but fortunately I can work it out from hearing what you say. (depth & resolution).

Thank you for the encouraging comment. On later videos, I often removed my picture to show the modifiers better. Sometimes, when it's obvious from my speaking what I am doing, I don't remove my picture. But if it is ever unclear to you, feel free to write me. I monitor my messages pretty much every day. Good luck!

Thanks Julian. My plan is to do more work on the chair. I want to change some of the design and then add some materials and/or textures. Hopefully I will have another video showing that in a day or so.

Never had a chance to do this today at work but started it tonight at home, I got to point where I added the plane, subdivided and extruded it up. I then added the lattice and selected the cushion and added the lattice modifier, this is things went awry (even though I had tried it this morning before leaving for work with a cube and it seemed to work). As soon as I selected the pull down to select the lattice object the cushion suddenly expanded about .5 blender units outside the lattice I had made and flattened slightly. I had applied scale and rotation to both the lattice and the cushion but to no avail. In the end I deleted the lattice and recreated it and it was fine but I'm not sure what was causing that issue.. ideas? (PS: In Nova Scotia.. we are feeling the heat too :)
@zerobio6 жыл бұрын
Not sure what caused that but glad you got it working. New Brunswick and it's hot but getting cooler. I'm working on a new chair like the rondo round back. Take a few days to work it all out to the point I can do a video.

oh... and i have a request can u make a video how to make a grand or baby grand piano thats riggable?
@zerobio6 жыл бұрын
I will have a look at some pianos and think about this. My previous experience with rigging was with Lightwave 3D so not sure if I can help much in that area.
@donovanb.94636 жыл бұрын
doesnt need to be rigged just ready to be rigged :)
