Oui 😊 Why adding less flour ? - If you add lots of flour and knead the dough as it is usually done for roti, you will end up with an elastic and chewy texture. The sweet potato will also become hard when it is cold. The flavour of the sweet potato will be lost if lots of flour is added.

Hi tried your recipe By following the exact measurements and it came out very Oily I noticed Some tiny spots that would open when I closed the cakes I tried to seal them back but it would hardly close resulting in too much oil sucked in the deep fry. All the cakes turn out very oily and no one wanted to eat them.

Hello, sorry to hear that 😟 Some sweet potatoes tend to absorb more water than others, thus you have to adjust the amount of flour accordingly. Another method is to steam the sweet potatoes and you won't need much flour as you did not boil them. For the sweet potatoes not to absorb oil, the oil should be at the correct temperature.
